Camping Le Colombier — Hotel in Grasse

Lovely site. Local to most amenities .|Bus routes and Lidl 400mts downhill ( remember you have to walk back up) |Town is walkable as is the train station . Be aware that you will need to buy pre loaded cards for bus journeys. We used our Train line app to get tickets to go to Monacco . |There was a small bar on site but sadly this was not in use whilst we were there , such a shame as most guests were there for the Rugby World Cup. No large screen provided to watch the games. Owner missed an opportunity. |No shop and no opportunity to order bread etc. ( we were told there was a bakery close by but we couldn't find it) |We did not take advantage the pool so I cannot comment. |Showers have been refurbished and were very nice. |Toilets clean but a little outdated. |Washing machine very useful.|Plenty of shade which was great as the temps were quite high during our stay. |Some pitches a little on the tight side for an 8+ Mt motorhome |An absolute must is a walk up to Haute Cagnes . We spent 3 nights at this location during our 18 night, 12 campsite tour of France.||||The campsite was chosen for it location on the French Riveria and proximity to public transport (bus and train) to access Nice, Monaco and Cannes.||||The facilities and pitch were very good. Clean and perfectly formed. More than adequate for the size of campsite, without being outstanding. We also had need to make use of the laundry service which is available at a cost.||||The information and assistance from the lady who runs the site is really helpful and greatly assisted with logistics, bus stop locations for example. The addition of the foosball table and table tennis are a nice touch (excuse the pun)||||There is a small pool which is located over the road which my daughter enjoyed to cool off in after days out sightseeing. You don't book this campsite for its views and luxury however very good location for heading out...

Trotz Reservierung abgewiesen! Ich hatte einen Campingplatz reserviert und kam voller Vorfreude an. Mich erwartete ein geschlossenes Tor und eine unfreundliche Frau trat aus dem Häuschen der Rezeption heraus. Sie sagte mir, im unfreundlichen Ton, ich hätte im voraus zahlen müssen und dürfte nicht auf den Campingplatz! Obwohl ich vorher per Mail extra nachgefragt hatte und mir das zugesagt wurde. Anstatt mit mir über die Situation zu sprechen, schickte Sie mich mit einem Flyer von mehreren camping Plätzen in der Umgebung davon. Dabei wies sie auf einen Campingplatz hin, der laut ihr nur um die Ecke sein sollte auf den ich ausweichen könnte. Dieser Campingplatz lag 20 Minuten (!) entfernt und war geschlossen. Da bis dahin viel Zeit vergangen ist bin ich ohne Schlafplatz geblieben und musste im Auto übernachten. Dieser Campingplatz ist nicht zu empfehlen! Unfreundlich und nicht hilfsbereit!

Refusé malgré la réservation ! J'avais réservé un camping et je suis arrivé plein d'enthousiasme. Un portail fermé m'attendait et une femme peu aimable est sortie de la maisonnette de la réception. Elle m'a dit, sur un ton désagréable, que j'avais dû payer à l'avance et que je n'avais pas le droit d'aller au camping ! Bien que je l'aie demandé par e-mail et qu'on me l'ait promis. Au lieu de me parler de la situation, elle m'a fait partir avec un dépliant présentant plusieurs campings dans les environs. Elle m'a indiqué un camping qui, selon elle, se trouvait juste au coin de la rue et que je pouvais utiliser. Ce camping se trouvait à 20 minutes ( !) et était fermé. Comme il s'est écoulé beaucoup de temps jusqu'à ce moment-là, je suis resté sans endroit où dormir et j'ai dû passer la nuit dans la voiture. Je ne recommande pas ce camping ! Il n'est ni aimable ni serviable !

Turned away despite reservation! I had reserved a campsite and arrived full of anticipation. A closed gate awaited me and an unfriendly woman stepped out of the reception box. She told me, in an unfriendly tone, that I had to pay in advance and was not allowed on the campsite! Although I had asked beforehand by e-mail and had been promised this. Instead of talking to me about the situation, she sent me away with a flyer of several camping sites in the area. She pointed out a campsite that she said was just around the corner and that I could use. This campsite was 20 minutes (!) away and was closed. Since a lot of time had passed by then, I was left without a place to sleep and had to spend the night in the car. This campsite is not to be recommended! Unfriendly and...
