Fleur de Sel is, without question, one of the most extraordinary dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed with warmth, respect, and a genuine sense of hospitality that makes you feel instantly at home. The team here is more than accommodating – nothing is ever too much trouble, and every detail is thought of with care.
And then comes the food. Wow. Gobsmacking, mind-blowing, unforgettable – words honestly fall short. Every dish is a symphony of flavours, crafted with such precision and passion that it feels like art on a plate. It’s the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation, just to savour the moment. Each bite was an experience in itself, and I found myself already looking forward to the next.
This isn’t just a restaurant – it’s an expression of what dining should be. Respectful service, an inviting atmosphere, and food that will leave you dreaming about it long after the last bite. Fleur de Sel is everything you could ever want in a restaurant, and then some.
If you’re around, do yourself a favour: run, don’t walk, to Fleur de Sel. It’s not just a meal,...
Read moreMy wife and I each ordered the "Gourmet" menu, which is a tasting menu, giving you a breath of tastes from the menu. We started with a delicious cold tomato soup as an amuse bouche, we then had the foie gras which was some of the best I have ever had. We then had the steak which was good, but nothing to write home about and finished with desert which tasted like a fancy creamsicle, I liked it, my wife was disappointed. The wine was very expensive and a bottle of water was 6 euro. If you judge the dinner I would give it a 4 to 4.5 if you judge how much it cost for the dinner I have to give the overall experience a 3 star. Things were just too expensive, the setting was not romantic, but the service was good. In US dollars I spent $190 and I walked away feeling over charged. Yesterday we ate down the block at Restaurant Le Pérousin and spent 163 and felt like I should have tipped the chef because it...
Read moreBeautiful food. Excellent and attentive service. Recently opened, with Michelin level food.
Example of great service: you can buy a wine package to pair with the food. And if you felt the wine was not what you felt like that evening, you had the option to switch (we kept the proposed wines but this shows the pride they take in ensuring you have a great experience).
We had been looking for a smaller restaurant with French cuisine but not necessarily the "traditional" dishes. And this is exactly what you get. Some classic French ingredients (duck, fois gras) but cooked with a twist in addition to e.g. Grav lax (cured salmon).
Vegetables were cooked in an interesting way too, and this is where you tend to see more of the finesse of a chef.
We will return. For the food and friendly...
