HÔTEL PALM BEACH — Hotel in Grasse

I would not recommend this property at all. Upon check-in, we were handed the key to a room that was clearly unclean. After informing the front desk, we were offered another room, only to find that it too had not been properly cleaned.||When I went back down to the reception to explain the situation, the response I received was shocking: “Well how are we supposed to know if it’s clean.” For a hotel, this is completely unacceptable. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations any guest should be able to rely on, and the dismissive attitude from the staff made the experience even worse.||The safe was not mounted, nor did it work, so all valuables were at risk. Visiting for the Cannes Film Festival for work and woke up my first morning to find two bedbugs in the bed. I took video and photos and showed them to the hotel staff. They put me up in an apartment for the rest of my stay, and I missed one and a half days of meetings due to having to move, hot wash and sanitize all of my clothing and belongings. I booked the room by calling the hotel directly , the person who took my reservation never told me there was no elevator in the hotel !
