ResidHotel Cannes Festival — Hotel in Grasse

WARNING: this place was infested with bed bugs. I would not consider if I knew the real situation . Please don't look at the listed pictures because this place was nothing like it. If there was a negative, I would give this place as it would earn the lowest rating. At first, the area seemed shady with people hanging out in front. When entered, the building felt "ghetto". The apartment seemed unkept but ok at first however , the 3rd bed was in a closet with no air flow. No air conditioning, no fan in August was quite bad even when the sliding door was opened but definitely unbearable in the closet. After 2 hours in bed, in the dark, I felt pinching but around 3 o'clock I decided to turn on the light and the beds were covered with bedbugs in hundreds and hundreds. I took off clothes and put them in the microwave, took a quick shower and left. Drove around to a " better" area while searching for a laundromat . First threw out all clothes I wore in bed. Then I washed all in 60 degrees and dried all in high heat. I had to cancel all plans for Sunday and Monday. During extreme distress, I called the number listed. The guy on the phone was not only useless he also spoke little english and offered... nothing. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. Google helped me getting through it because this was the 1st time I even saw or encountered this. Please don't give them more business because this " hotel" should be shut down!!!! Or be inspected to meet the lowest standard of a " hotel". They did not refund my money for that night and I was going to make another claim for the lost clothes that I put in the microwave to eliminate the bugs. Here is the video that I was rushing to do because I did not want to spend an extra second in this dump. Believe me, it was 100 %...

Stayed with 4 people for 2 nights in the studio apartment room with a kitchenette, bathroom, queen bed and bunkbed, tv with dresser, and balcony with a drying rack. Kitchenette has a couple pots and pans with plates and cutlery, coffee machine, microwave, mini fridge, and 2 electric stove burners. Can't comment on much from the kitchen area since we didn't use much of it other than the microwave and sink. We did not have room cleaning service since it was a 2 night stay. The bunk-bed was in a small closet-sized "room" which might make a few people uncomfortable, however it was OK. Front desk was very very helpful and friendly with the man speaking english, informing us of places to visit (there is a saturday market a couple of minutes from the hotel), a map of Cannes, and a map of the bus lines with information on stops and bus numbers. The bus is a short 10 minute ride to Hôtel de Ville where many bus lines meet as well as a short walk to a beach. The bathroom is what caused the most problems since the standing shower has a curtain not a door -- the water gets all over the bathroom if you're not careful. What the room lacked, the front desk made up in helpfulness along with the location and price of the hotel. All in all it was an ok stay. If I had another hotel option I probably would've wanted to stay...

Stayed in this hotel during a week in march 2016. Attended the MIPIM conference, where all hotels rooms in and around Cannes are booked years in advance. Compared to the alternatives I was willing to pay for, this hotel was a good choice. It is located in La Bocca some 4 kilometers away from central Cannes. Connections by bus are good in daytime - by nighttime expect to pay for a taxi. Location in La Bocca is really nice. Close to restaurants and shops and 400 metres from the sea. Service was overall good in the reception. However, if you expect to stay in a hotel you are bound to get disappointed. In reality we are talking basic vacation appartments. Rooms are of decent size, including a small kitchenette. Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis (in fact not at all during my stay) and breakfast consist of a small bag of breakfast products. If you want bread to your butter, you should remember to order it a day in advance. The room had a small balcony overlooking a garden, that really needed tightening up (litter all over)Price/value relationships is OK though and I believe that is what it should be...
