LOCATION||Great location, 5 minutes’ walk to the beach, 10 mins to Super Market, and 20 mins to Carnac town. Quiet suburban area.||Easy to get onto main highway to drive to Golf De Morbhian and Quiberon peninsular.||ACCOMODATION & CAMP||We booked via a newspaper promotion and as such our accommodation was allocated to us. We ended up with a “Classic XL|2 Bedrooms|Sleeps 4-6|Covered Decking and were on pitch. There were just 2 adults in our party, I think it would feel a bit cramped with 6 people.||The caravan was simple and clean with a well-equipped kitchen (had a hob, but no oven). Enough for our needs as we weren't really in the caravan much as we were either out walking, or out on the deck in the great weather. We did not have a BBQ (as expected), though similar accommodation had them. There was plenty of hot water and the shower was powerful enough.||The caravans are quite close together and parking is a bit tight. I like the way the pitches were arranged in "streets" off of the main thoroughfare. The streets are blocked at one end so there is no through traffic making it quieter and safer for children playing. The camp is very clean and well attended to with nice greenery.||FACILITIES/SERVICE||We didn't use any of the facilities as we just used it as a base to explore the area. But the pool and play areas looked nice. The front of house staff were friendly and professional and spoke great English when my French was lacking! ||From what we could hear of the entertainment, it was a bit more imaginative than the bingo we get in The UK, with general knowledge quizzes, pop music quizzes and dance competitions. I think we were there slightly out of season and therefore entertainment was only on a couple of nights during the week, but didn’t bother us as that was not what we are into.||Overall, a nice atmosphere and great location.||WOULD I...

Just returned from a week at Les Menhirs and on the whole it was a good stay. The location is excellent, about a 5 mins walk to the beach and 10 mins to the centre. The pool is a little bit on the small side and was always really busy, the kids loved the waterslides, 3 really good ones. The entertainment team are really good with the kids but again the seating area at the stage is small so unless you turn up early you won’t get a seat to view the stage, we were also told they only had 1 high chair available so our 1 year old had to eat on our knee. The food available is really nice, I recommend the steak pizza & 4 cheese pizza just under €15 and Beer is around €7 a pint. |The negative for me is the accommodation, we stayed in number 244 and although it was clean and tidy the shower was awful, only had 2 warm showers all week and it had no power at all. There’s a massive tree about the caravan so we couldn’t sleep for 2 nights because of the branches hitting the caravan and the opposite one had its awning flapping around. Then every time we turned the tap on in the kitchen the smell of gas was really strong, we told reception and they came and turned the gas off, later someone came and turned it back on but the smell remained. The last thing is the gates close and don’t open until 7am or whatever so this morning at 5am we had to carry a 4 & 1 year old all the way to the exit where we had to leave the car the night before so we could leave to catch our flight, surely you could get a sensor for cars leaving the site. |It’s a shame cause with a little bit of TLC this site could be amazing, as other reviews have said it seems to be a case of just money making without spending anything on jobs which need to be done. |Couple of pictures showing the lack of power in the shower and the caravan with...

This was our first family experience to a eurocamp and it won’t be the last. We’re a family of 2 adults and a 5 year old child. We’ve never been on a camping holiday before and I have to confess, I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to holidays, but I was genuinely impressed with this campsite. |We were really impressed with the facilities on offer at the campsite; the pool, waterslides and bar areas in particular were firm favourites. There was always space around the pool to relax, the area was clean and well maintained. The bar has been designed that if you want to join in with the entertainment there’s space, but there is also comfortable seating behind the bar away from the stage if you don’t want to be in the thick of the entertainment. ||The location was fantastic, a short walk to Carnac beach and the town. Carnac is soooooo beautiful, with two distinct areas (the more traditional part of the town and the beach area), there was something for us all. ||We were impressed with the accommodation, which was nicely designed and well equipped with air conditioning, dishwasher, and all that you need for a self catering stay. We purchased the bedding and towel hire which took the pressure off having to travel with these items. Our only negative was the size of the deck, it would have been nice to have more space with separate eating and lounging areas, now that we have experienced the accommodation we will book a bigger lodge next time to allow for this. ||Overall it was a lovely family focused break at a really...

Great holiday in a fab seaside resort in Brittany. We went with Eurocamp in an Avant mobile home which was spacious and modern with a great deal in April. Weather was fab and we got to see lots of the surrounding area which is beautiful! Des Menhirs is a long, narrow site with many pitches of mobiles quite close together. However this didn’t particularly bother us and the site was very busy the weekend of Easter. Our pitches were side by side with plenty of space to park the car. Site has a very good shop and take away. No restaurant but this didn’t bother us as there are lots close-by in Carnac Plage and a little further in the old town...all walkable. The outdoor pool is a tad on the small side. It there’s a good slide complex. Bar is a nice place to spend a few hours too. We did lots of hiking and there are loads of trails and walks close by. Carnac stones can be reached on foot down the little leafy foot paths from the site. There’s also a great circular walk from St Cornelly’s Church around the headland where you can see many oyster boats dotted in the bay and flotillas of yachts out at sea. Such a laid back vibe here with people connecting with nature either meditating or practicing yoga poses with seemingly not a care in the world! The beach in Carnac is a beautiful crescent of sand mixed with a little shingle in places and the sea is a wonderful blue green that you don’t get in the UK (apart from maybe Cornwall) We will most definitely return next year!

First and foremost, this is a well located mobilehome park only a short walk from the beach. The mobile homes are clean and comfortable. Gas stove, air conditioning, fridge/freezer and hot water. It is very family friendly. The kids find plenty to do, but will probably spend their entire holiday on the slides. The arcade area/ game room could do with an upgrade, because the kids spend a lot of time there when the pool closes at 8. The shop on site offers pain au chocolate, croissants and baguettes as well as very reasonably priced beach toys, bbq rentals beer and wines etc.. The animation is also very good. The animation staff are very friendly and propose plenty of activities. It would be quite easy to spend your entire vacation without moving at the complex. Having said that, the surrounding villages and beaches are all worth a visit. I’d recommend checking Carnac’s tourist office website for local events and sights.

The chalets are perfect for a holiday if you love camping as much as we do. We are staying in a 2 bed 1 bath euro camp accommodation. The reps are lovely here by the way. There is a cafe bar onsite which is what you would expect. The play park is perfect and safe for younger children. There are plenty of table tennis tables and a basketball/ football area for the older kids. The onsite shop is a little expensive but no more inflated in price than you would expect anywhere. They also have a nice takeaway at the rear of the shop which is open in the evenings. There is a Super U 12 min walk away and other supermarkets a short drive away. The best part has to be the pools. There is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool with loads of sunbeds and 3 brilliant water slides, my girls spent MANY hours on then. The site is clean, safe and well maintained. I would come here again in a heart beat.
