We had the baked clams as a starter (excellent, best dish we have had in Carnac) followed by the smash burger (really nice, lots of flavour, really enjoyed it). Service was a little on the fast side but that generally suited us. Would thoroughly recommend. So why not 5 stars ? Well this might be a little harsh on the restaurant, but they allowed a couple of extremely selfish women to light up cigarettes in the middle of the restaurant. We were technically in the outdoor part of the restaurant but almost all the covers were down (bar the entrance). Admittedly, this is the fault of the women themselves for being so disgustingly selfish that they felt it was ok to do so, but I felt the restaurant should have acted to tell them to put them out. Unfortunately people this ignorant do exist and the restaurant need to...

Nice, a casual gastropub in the middle of the town centre. Very English when it comes to the menu, possibly because of the proximity with the UK?

Food is quite nice, properly presented and tasty. The goat cheese and courgettes mousse was interesting. Interesting selection of wines, tasty for what I could taste, but pricey if compared to other parts of France. The overall cost is pretty much in line with any other French restaurant I've visited during the past 6 months. That said, on the menu, I couldn't find anything typical from the area, hence my star rating.

As opposed to the typical French attitude to shut down businesses at 10, by that time this place was still in full ferment.

Personnel...

Gosh, we decided to go to this restaurant due to its very positive reviews. This was a huge mistake. The meals were very bland and poor value for the cost. The children’s meals in particular were very bad and it was a struggle to get my daughters to eat them. €12 for chicken nuggets and chips was very expensive given the nuggets were processed. The adult meals were not great and the restaurant allowed customers to smoke within the closed in area of the restaurant. We had to endure a horrible smell of smoke. Service was haphazard and our children’s meals were served so fast it provided a good indication of the quality! There are far nicer restaurants around and 1 star...

If you fancy being surrounded in second hand smoke, come on down. If you like to be squeezed into a table not fit for 1 person Let alone 3, come on down. It is a conveyer belt of people - in and out, over and over again. And don’t order the Breton sausage. Think of a normal sausage. Now put that thought to one side. My only description is: the process of all the pigs inners with out it being minced. Some may like it that way, most normal humans will gag. Even the dog would turn their nose. Good luck.

Dus maar even blijven zitten.
