The room lacked a kettle, and the staff suggested running the coffee machine without coffee to obtain boiled water for the baby’s food. Additionally, the room had neither a refrigerator nor a freezer. The most disappointing aspect of the hotel was its misleading advertisement claiming air conditioning in the rooms, when in reality, it was merely standard ventilation, incapable of being adjusted below 21 degrees Celsius. I measured the room’s temperature, and it was approximately 28 degrees Celsius. The elevator also lacked proper ventilation, adding to the discomfort. Furthermore, the hotel’s smart system for summoning the elevator via mobile, using Google Chromecast to stream YouTube, or controlling lights and temperature was entirely non-functional. I reported this issue to the reception, as I urgently needed to cast content on the television, but my concerns were completely ignored. The reception had no fans available to borrow, and regarding a room change, they stated it would be futile as all rooms were equally warm, despite the reception area itself benefiting from effective air conditioning. The room also lacked towels, forcing me to repeatedly visit the reception to request items or seek assistance. While the evening staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating, the night shift employee was extremely discourteous, dismissing my concerns and showing a complete lack of care. On a positive note, I was thoroughly impressed by the availability of electric vehicle charging stations, which I found to be an...
Read moreThis very new building is easy to spot whilst walking (10 minutes) from Bron airport. The foyer and staff are smart, although the electric revolving door is a menace after dark- the curved side panels are invisible .|| We had a third floor room; although there is only one small lift, inadequate for the size of hotel, the stairs are very easy. There was an excellent view, and no sound from adjacent rooms or outside.Basic comfort was good, with a rather soft bed,but excellent aircon, and a window which both opened fully and had opaque curtains. There was light and space for writing, and a sort of wall mounted seat at which two people could eat on an article like a hospital bed table. The stowage was the usual budget type fixed shelf and coat rail, without a drawer or a safe.|| Again at budget level ,there was no fridge, but the coffee machine could be used to make tea.|| The complicated modern bathroom arrangements required three sliding doors, and one hinged, to enclose a space large enough to provide a bath, but instead there was the trendy walk in shower and almost useless shallow basin with no plug.I suppose I should be grateful that the shower did not flood the room.|| Breakfast was in a rather small room ,with very basic furniture, but as good as the 4 star hotel I am at present...
Read moreIt felt like a brand new hotel. The room was spotless, Bed comfortable and the Shower had strong water pressure. As for location, it was just minutes from the expressway. There was a 7 day / 24 hour McDonalds opposite side of the roundabout. There was a major shopping mall within a five minute drive of the hotel.. Terrific location.
The only downside side was the broken robot at the main lobby. It just sat lifeless. Hotel says smart so I was expecting this robot to do something.. Nope the robot didn’t do anything. So The robot was a disappointment.
If you have a car, highly recommend this hotel. But you’re relying on public transportation. This hotel is not recommended. There wasn’t any visible sign of public transportation.. I heard the bus ran about once an hour, but I never seen the bus in my three days stay.
If we return to Lyon, we will definitely stay again at the hotel. Hopefully the robot will learn how to greet people or something.
Other than the lifeless robot. We...
