BEST WESTERN De Diane — Hotel in Nevers

We arrived here an route from Italy to the UK and prebooked a couple of nights for a look around. First it's quite central in the town and easy to find. It has a good private garage nearby which was important to us as we had an expensive new car. The reception we received from the very sweet middle-aged lady was cordial and helpful. Realising our French was weak she did her very best in English and even offered us some helpful tourist advice for attreactions nearby.|Our room (105) was spacious, comfortable and clean. It had a kettle and a nice marble tiled bathroom. Looking out to the rear it was also free of any traffic noise. What was quirky was the lack of a shower curtain around the bath and the fact there was a very pronounced slope in the floor. So much so that one side of the wardrobe had to be supported.|We opted for breakfast in what must have been the cellar and it was very good and varied. There was even a fresh orange juice crushed but no cooked option, just the usual cold meats and cheese but if good quality.|We got a very good price for our room and strangely like this hotel. However, the reception staff the following morning were a little cooler with us and totally incapable of speaking any...

Whilst traveling through France we booked this last minute (an hour before arrival) through booking.com. We new its star rating was 3* so didn't expect much but it was somewhere to rest for the night. ||On arrival we were met by a lovely French lady who upgraded our standard room to a superior. The room itself was still quite basic however it was spotlessly clean. The hotel is quaint and pretty. ||The 3 people we spoke to at reception could not do enough to help us with maps, parking and anything else we asked about. We opted to use their secure parking for 10€ across the street which was worth it. ||We had breakfast which is served downstairs under the hotel. The breakfast was a lovely continental buffet breakfast and the room beautiful. ||All in all a really nice hotel for what you pay ... not expensive, not flashy but just lovely...

UN PRIX PROHIBITIF DE 200 EUROS LA NUITÉE EST EXIGÉ AVEC UN MINIMUM DE 2 NUITEES ALORS QUE LE PRIX AFFICHÉ AINSI QU AU SYNDICAT D INITIATIVE POUR 2 PERSONNES EST DE 87 A 117 € LA NUITEE. ARGUMENT : EVENEMENT A MAGNICOURT DU 23 AU 26 AOÛT 2024. JE TENAIS A LE SIGNALER AUX POTENTIELS CLIENTS ET JE VIENS D EN INFORMER LE SYNDICAT D INITIATIVE QUE LE PRIX AFFICHE A L HÔTEL DE DIANE N'EST PAS CELUI PRATIQUÉ : 200 € AU LIEU DE 87 A 117 € UNE CHAMBRE DOUBLE. Tout d abord, je pense qu il y a confusion de votre part dans la lecture de mes écrits. Je n ai jamais indiqué que les MASTERS DE PETANQUE avaient influé sur les prix, revus à la hausse, dans votre établissement. C est votre collaboratrice qui m a informée de cette forte augmentation suite à l événement MAGNICOURT. Après votre retour, les professionnels contactés ont maintenu les prix figurant sur le guide délivré par l office du tourisme.

J en ai informé l office qui ne manquera pas de le signaler, afin de ne pas induire en erreur d éventuels clients.

Ensuite, je n ai pas conseillé de RESERVER auprès d un établissement, tel que le vôtre, qui pratique des tarifs fluctuants, du 200 % ! Alors que d autres professionnels, de l hôtellerie ou restauration, maintiennent des tarifs raisonnables.

C est une fort bonne chose que vous ayiez mentionné votre changement de tarifs sur votre site internet. Les internautes n auront pas de mauvaise surprise. Quant à moi, je préfère privilégier le contact humain.

La DORDOGNE ou la CORSE sont des départements où le tourisme prédomine, sans pour autant y afficher des tarifs exorbitants.

NEVERS proche de PARIS et des JO 24, ceci explique t il cela ! Et tant mieux que l hôtel soit rempli à 93 %.

Désolée, ce n était pas mon intention de vous m être qu 1 étoile pour revoir le tarif à la baisse. Cela aurait été blessant pour le professionnel que vous êtes et pour le client que j aurais pu être.

Bonne continuation même si vous ne pourrez plus me compter parmi vos clients.
