My wife, 11-year-old daughter, and I stayed here for six nights in early September, and we had a really enjoyable experience. My wife and I had been before as a couple, and although we don’t usually return to the same place twice, we decided this was the best option for our first holiday abroad with our daughter. We already knew the property would be well run and in good condition, as it is managed by Pierre & Vacances, the same company behind Center Parcs, and that reassurance made things easier for us. ||The apartment itself was comfortable and well equipped. We stayed on the right-hand side of the property, which was fine except that the balcony never got any sun, unlike the apartments on the opposite side. Inside, the apartment had everything we needed, including a TV with Chromecast, which allowed us to stream Netflix and relax in the evenings once our daughter was asleep. We also arranged the free baby package when booking, and this included a cot, highchair, baby bath, and pushchair. Having these items waiting for us was incredibly helpful, though we didn’t use the pushchair as it had no hood and wasn’t ideal for walking out in the sun. ||The rooftop pool was a bonus, and we made use of it every day. It wasn’t crowded during our stay, it was mostly older couples sunbathing but it suited us perfectly for a quick daily dip with our daughter. The pool is smaller than it looks in the promotional photos, more of a square than a rectangle, so don’t expect to swim laps, but it was still a nice feature. ||Shopping and supplies were easy to sort out. There is a mini supermarket directly next to the apartments which sells essentials, along with fresh bread and pastries daily. Beyond that, there are plenty of bakeries within walking distance where we picked up fresh bread each morning, and a slightly larger and cheaper supermarket near the train station. Pharmacies are also everywhere, so no trouble there either. ||Getting around was straightforward thanks to excellent transport links. It’s possible to take the train from Nice airport, made easier now with the new tram system connecting the airport to the station. Because of the extra luggage that comes with a baby, we pre-booked a taxi, which turned out to be the best decision for us. The train service itself was reliable and very reasonably priced, we paid around €4 each to get into Monaco. Even though France is known for strikes, in our experience trains still ran, just slightly less frequently, and they were still on time. Roquebrune is a quiet, relaxed area that felt perfect for families and older travellers. For something livelier, Menton is very close by, and you can also travel easily along the coast all the way from Cannes to Menton by train. ||The only part of the trip that was frustrating was the booking. The website wouldn’t let us choose a six-night stay, so we had to pay for seven nights, even though we only used six. That said, as we let them know we were arriving early, the staff kindly arranged for our keys to be ready at lunchtime on the Saturday, which was a much-appreciated gesture. ||Overall, this was a lovely first holiday abroad with our daughter. The apartment was convenient and comfortable, the location was ideal, and everything went smoothly apart from having to pay for an extra night we didn’t use. Despite that, it was a positive and...

We got an apartment with a patio with a garden. But the patio had a wall and a big ventilation inlet in front of us and our apartment is in the bottom corner of the entire complex - it feels llike a bunker going out on the patio. The patio had a plastic lawn which was not clean and the view was terrible and lots of mosquitoes outside and inside.
When we go on vacation it is important for us to sit outside and relax and have a meal or just to chill but we can’t. The patio that we got is just not an inviting atmosphere.
We talked to the staff and they tried to help but couldn’t offer a change. So they offered a mosquito lamp and cleaning. They couldn’t change to another apartment even though we offered to pay extra. They could offer the parking for free we accepted that. Cause they hadn’t any other choice.
The pool on roof top is nice but to get there you have to walk in 30 cm shower water because the shower is flooded so you have to walk in other peoples shower water - not so hygienic. We talked to the staff about it Wednesday and today it’s Sunday and still flooded. We cannot not use the pool feeling comfortable. The pool is also a part of our vacation.
The dishwasher doesn’t work and they told us they will fix it but they haven’t so on our vacation we are hand washing and we choose to have an apartment with dishwasher because we do not want to hand wash dishes.
The air conditioner doesn’t work in the night so we wake up in the middle of the night wet from sweat and it is difficult to sleep because of the heat and ventilation is really bad.
Furniture in the kitchen drawer is also broken and falls down every time we touch the kitchen. We have notified the staff of issue but it is not taken care of.
Good thing is that the beds are really comfortable and also the bed sofa is really good and comfortable for one adult and one teenager.
So overall we paid to have some facilities that is unfortunately absolutely not up to standard regarding the rating of the hotel or the price you pay. We feel very disappointed and the staff is not so helpful solving the problem for real they just say we will fix it and nothing happens.
So it’s definitely not worth...
Read moreWorst customer service at this hotel I’ve ever had. The hotel and facilities themselves are pretty good and a nice location, the cleaning staff are also friendly and do a good job although I find it odd you have to pay quite a lot to get a room clean when we booked for a weeks stay but we’re not fussy so we didn’t bother. |The response I received three weeks after my stay is hilariously copied and pasted from a centre parcs response, which sums up the customer service and they clearly haven’t even bothered to read what I posted. Before I even arrived at the property I had issues getting in touch about a late check in, and later found out the reason I couldn’t call anymore was because after I left a voicemail with my telephone number asking to be contacted, my phone number was then blocked from calling them again! I had to use my partners phone to call again and after three separate telephone conversations I was given different advice about what ended up being a simple 4 digit check in code for the box on arrival but of course they didn’t just tell me that until the DAY we were arriving which I panicked about on the lead up to our holiday as I’ve been locked out of a hotel all night previously. | Ps their email address I was given when I called the UK number for Pierre vacancies (they weren’t much help either and it took half an hour to get through) didn’t actually work, it bounced back. |The staff that work at the desk are useless and rude and clearly don’t like English people as they sighed down the phone at me when I asked if I could speak to them in English. I felt really unwelcome. Also we were given 4 rolls of toilet paper for a weeks stay which wasn’t enough, and when I asked the desk for another roll they said no so I had to buy a 6 pack from the shop the day before we left for home which I thought was unfair. I read other reviews that said you can get more from the reception desk but the lady at the desk basically laughed at me...
