At least one room is renovated and is amazing. Other room I’ve been in was average. However, beds are clean, and bathrooms are very clean ( with a good hairdryer- a plus!) . Staff at the front desk have always been very courteous. Room size is not large ( but I have seen smaller rooms in Paris). Even though this hotel is Very close to gard du Nord, I have never heard any noises of the trains. Overall for the little money you pay its actually very good. ||The area of Gard du Nord is obviously not the same as other fancy areas in Paris, and can be eerily empty at night, but I have always felt very safe coming back to the hotel very late at night. Also lots of Indian resto nearby that sell snacks late.||I have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last two years and is very convenient to catch a fast train (RER) in Paris as well as getting to the airport in less than 30 min and catching Eurostar is super from there = more sleep and less hassle with luggage on stairs...||I have never tried theit breakfast, but with all the amazing bakeries on every corner in Paris I never take any hotel...
Read moreA cozy room with two twin beds, a cafe table with two chairs, and decent sized bathroom. The shower is nice size and is simple to use, but it may be a bit awkward for someone quite elderly or infirm to enter and exit as there is a step up and down, and it has no rough floor or mat--slight slip hazard for some. Nice TV, easy to use. Helpful staff. Breakfast is offered extra. Mid-eastern/Africa section. Seemed like a safe area although it might get loud if you had to open your windows in the summer, and the trains are very near, so you can hear them. A lot of 2 and 3 star tourist hotels in this area, because it is very close to both the North and East train stations and the Metro subway lines, so you can get anywhere, plus the stations have a lot of shops, Starbucks, etc. Only ethnic restaurants nearby, but anything you need in the train stations. No coffee/tea maker, microwave or...
Read moreSmall hotel but very reasonable for being close to Gare du Nord and d'Est. Literately you could walk down the street, turn the corner, cross the road and there was an underpass to the stations. Breakfast was simple but included and rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful especially when we thought trains home could be cancelled and didn't know if we would require a room for that night as well. There is no bar and restaurant is for breakfast only but there are several restaurants in the street, and it is a short walk to Gare Du Nord main road where there were plenty.||||The area around the hotel is very multi-cultural with lots of shops and busy at night with lots of people hanging around so I never felt nervous about walking around at night. The area is a bit neglected and untidy but not right...
