You must be prepared with at least double the amount for the same reservation. The hotel blocks preauthorization amount from your card as well as charges for the room on arrival. The preauthorization is not released immediately and the hotel asks you in a rude and arrogant way to contact your bank for release, as it is not their problem. Unfortunately, the manger of the hotel knows little English, has to google the words and has no customer skills when confronted with complaints. The use of someone's credit card must be handled with care for the customer and all charges and ways of getting the money back must be clear. It is "your problem" and contact your bank is a bad example of service from the hotel. Because my bank account is not a play toy for someones free will so they can block my money for their peace of mind ruining mine.||||The so called surprise with breakfast in bed only means that although you pay for breakfast there is no room designed to have breakfast, therefore you receive a tray for two, handed by the cleaning lady which you have nowhere to put. Table has only one chair. Breakfast in bed for two eating from one tray is a very uncomfortable experience and not at all as in the movies, although you are likely to think it will be. ||||The 8 euro breakfast gives you only croissant and a bred for two which comes with jam and honey. If you are diabetic, it's probably your problem as the offer does not contain anything else. It was a very bad surprise as this breakfast does not worth the money paid for it. For a breakfast worth of 2 Euros you are charged 16 Euros. For the same amount of money you can choose in central Paris better hotel. AVOID THIS...
Read moreLooking for a less expensive hotel in Paris, we decided on the Hotel Nadaud, in the 20th arrondissement and very close to Père Lachaise cemetery. We're glad we did. It's a budget hotel with a very friendly staff and a lift (we stayed on the fifth floor.) The room was small, but adequate. The bathroom was modern and thoughtfully designed and equipped. The hotel offers in-room breakfast if desired, but so many nearby cafés offer the same for lower price, we used it only once. I knew little about the neighborhood, Ménilmontant, which we found lively and attractive; full of shops, cafés, and restaurants. The Nadaud is two minutes from Gambetta Metro stop, which, of course, connects you to all of Paris. The 61 and 69 busses are also right there, that connect to the Gares de Lyon and Place de la République. I recommend the Hotel Nadaud for its location, price, and...
Read moreOne of the best hotels we have stayed on. We have paid a lot more before and stayed in 4 star hotels that weren’t as good. This was excellent value for money. The room was very clean. Although no tea making facilities you can ask for a kettle. Also an iron and ironing board are available on request. The staff were brilliant. Very professional and friendly. We had a lovely room with a view of the Eiffel Tower.(it is in the distance but still very visible especially when it sparkles at night). Metro line 3 is right outside hotel. So even though you are not in the centre of Paris you are only a 15 min metro ride away. They are some very nice restaurants and bars in the area plus plenty of good local shops. Very safe and convenient area. Right next to Pere Lachaise. Which is well worth a visit. We will definitely use Hotel Nadaud again and recommend to...
