Pristine accommodation, not like any ‘hostel’ any of us had ever stayed in, much more of a catered chalet feel. Happy tone set by 2 lovely hosts who run the place, warm welcoming people with a mindset of ensuring their guests have a great holiday, which we did. We can’t thank Michaela and Thomas enough for the effort they put into our stay. For larger groups the breakfasts and evening meal options are tremendous quality and value. Tomas is the chef by trade and Michaela the breakfast and home made desert specialist. Evening menu for us.... carrot, orange and coconut soup, tarteflette main course and tart tatin with ample beer and wine included. Fully equipped, immaculate kitchen for guest use makes dining in an easy option and our group found the living space and balcony ideal for relaxing after a days boarding. Bar below is lively some nights till early hours so if that’s not your thing this isn’t your place but ideal for us and added to enjoyment of our stay. Recently stayed in central hostel chatêl and have nothing but good things to say about the venue itself and not to forget michaela and Thomas. Trying to organise somewhere for 18 people stay was never going to be easy but as soon I first inquired about staying here Michaela and Thomas couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried. All rooms were clean and facilities were everything you would expect and more from a hostel! The living/kitchen area is where this place comes to life. Plenty of room to dine for a big group whilst you take in the incredible view of the mountains surrounding the beautiful village of chatêl! So if you looking for somewhere cheap, clean and central to chatêl then this is the place for you. Thank you...

Great location in Chatel, brilliant views, only a few minutes walk to the ski lift, a ski hire and grocery shop less than a minute away, right above the lively L`Avalanche bar.||Tomas and Michaela are brilliant, so welcoming, friendly, relaxed and at the same time providing a great service!||The hostel is excellent value, storage for ski gear, drying room for boots etc., the place was always clean, warm & very comfortable, the living space is a nice place to chill out, the kitchen has everything you might need, I'd definitely recommend this place and will...
