I have been going to Chatel for my entire life and eaten at Le Fiacre on many occasions and the staff here have got more and more rude each time.
They work on a system of serving two sittings. This is a perfectly acceptable way of running a restaurant if you tell your customers how long they will have and then they can choose if that is ok for them. However they don't tell you, and you only have an hour and a half before they'd like you out. Once you reach that time you will get hounded by multiple members off staff, no matter what point of your meal you are at. Operating these two sittings also completely overwhelms the kitchen as everyone sits down simultaneously; I was very rudely told that they would not accept any food orders, only drinks. These things together mean that a normal meal will last longer than an hour and a half and you will be treated very unpleasantly until you can tolerate it no longer and leave.
They just expect that no matter how they treat people, the tourists will still keep coming back. It is a common problem among some of the rest of the restaurants and cafes in this central part of the village. I highly recommend travelling a little bit and eating in a restaurant where they treat people with a...
Read moreWithout a doubt the worst experience ever! In a group of eight people, we ordered all calzone, which we had tasted a few days before and found it delicious, but in the middle of my plate I realized that there was no egg as requested. We called the clerk who called his superior because he thought that since I had eaten half of it I could not do anything. This gentleman, on his way to the table, immediately doubted that the egg did not exist and turned his back on the kitchen and to our surprise, he brought a bowl with a raw egg!
We return to complain, you reply that is how the egg comes in the calzone and that nothing else is going to do, offering in exchange a coffee, an offer that we declined, since after this terrible service the least would be not to pay at all the calzone.
Already at the counter, in the middle of complaining about the account they presented to us, you completely failed to respect us all, saying that the problem was that we are Portuguese, that we are making a great ribbon just because of an egg and that it brought you such how he puts it on his calzone, raw and that he did not understand why he did not want to eat it like that, in an insolent tone of jocularity.
A terrible experience, a bad education, an unacceptable service.

Read morethe hostess (blond curly hair)is very rude, she made mistakes with my order, when the food arrived i told her thatâs not what i ordered, she got very mad and raised her voice super loud ( one of the ladies sitting next table dropped the utensils because of her sudden loud voice) tried to force us to âtryâ the food, we refused and ask them to send us the food we initially wanted, she got very pissed, made it very clear to the whole restaurant she is going to war with us, during the whole dinner time, she was ignoring us, and pretending to be very nice and having small talks to people sitting near us. Itâs just very childish, and unnecessary. The food is ok, hope they can hire professionals to work in the restaurant, people who come here for dinner...
