La Bocca — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

The pizza was great, but honestly the rest of the food and service was so bad. Wedid not feel welcome from the beginning. The staff was rushing and pushed us to order quickly. After we ordered the drinks, they did not serve us properly.

The pizza’s we ordered were quite tasty, but the pasta was really bad. The ingredients in the pasta did not match the menu, so we asked the staff if we got the correct order. For example, there was no truffle to be found in the pasta, which was stated on the menu. We also told them that the taste was very bland and the pasta was way to heavy. They made the sauce with lots of cornflower and milk, but the moment it cooled down the whole dish became a solid mass that was impossible to digest. We send two of our dishes back because we could not eat it and we mentioned is was not a problem, but we suggested that they change the recipe for future customers, because you cannot serve a pasta like this. Later, the manager replied that she didn’t care we did not like it. She literally (and arrogantly) said; “it’s our job to cook it, it’s your job to like it.”

When we got our bill we expected that we did not have to pay the full amount for the two dishes that we sent back. The manager did not even apologize to us and was very rude.

Dinner at La Bocca was a very big disappointment for out last night in Châtel. We recommend going to other restaurants in the area. There is lots of them which have better service and better food.

Again, the pizza’s were great (so a 2 star review instead of 1) but please order a takeaway pizza so you don’t have to face the very rude and unwelcoming manager, who will definitely...

We arrived in Paris and England, having spent such a glorious and a marvelous two week stay in a charming and a mountainous village Chatel, for the fourth year.☺☺☺

Of course, we had a fabulous time in chatel coupled with heartwarming welcome at your restaurant for the fourth year at "La Bocca !!!. " 😊😊😊 Exceptionally very very friendly waitresses, served us rather delectable and delicious pizzas,pates and salads with smiling faces and lots of professionalism. We dinned in a very well cozy and comfy surroundings..!!!😊😊😊

Perfect pizza dough - homemade- was excellent to taste, Equally, tiramissu and pnacota were copious and scrumptious.......!!!!

Thanks also for the Limoncello digestive offered....😊😊😊😊.

Skillful administration and prompt Service in all field.😀😀😀.

The staff(three waitresses) and manager(0rnella and Mathiew) were particularly friendly and pampered for its guests! Hats off to you all guys....!!!

Big disappointment on both the food and service.

Our night started with a cold welcome, but were okay with that in the beginning, because we saw they were very busy. The pizza’s were supposed to be great, but some of us ordered a pasta.

The pasta we ordered was not edible and did not come close to the ingredients that were described on the menu. When we sent our dish back we suggested that they change the recipe for other customers in the future. They arrogantly replied: it’s our job to cook it and it’s your job to like it. We don’t care if you don’t like it, it’s your problem.

So bad food and bad service overall.

Besides, the restaurant was too busy and not a very comfortable place to sit.

If you eat from this place, order a takeaway pizza. This way you don’t have to talk to the manager because she will ruin your night. Please read the replies of the restaurant to some of the previous bad reviews as well, so you understand the way this manager is very rude.

There are many other and better restaurants in Châtel, so don’t let La Bocca...
