Overview: Highly recommend for families or individuals traveling to Berlin and wanting to stay somewhere very close to the city center. It is very safe, clean, and the accommodations are outstanding. The staff go above and beyond and you will love the hotel's breakfast, bar, and restaurant.
My family booked a week of travel with my two elderly grandparents to Mitte, Berlin and we stayed at the art'otel. This was my first time traveling to Berlin and I am so glad we chose to stay here. My whole family loved it. First, the accommodations were everything we could ask for. The rooms had a beautiful view and huge windows which we loved. Everything was clean and whenever we needed anything, the room service would send it up immediately. The fresh fruit-infused water and macaroons were a nice touch in the lobby, and they continued to check in with us during our stay to make sure we were having a great time. We had lost our luggage through our airline, and they were so helpful to us... one of the ladies even called the airline late at night to assist with our search. At the end of our stay, they packed us breakfast to take to the airport with us which was unexpected and lovely. Most importantly, they were very accommodating to my grandparents, which was a big deal to us especially when traveling internationally with two elderly people.
Second, the hotel's restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious... the service was superb and they even gave us complimentary drinks and food! The breakfast every day was delicious with an assortment of croissants, cheeses, jams, cereal, meats, a luxury coffee maker that made a variety of coffees including espresso, and many more delicious options that made our mornings wonderful and got us ready for the day.
Third, the location of the hotel was perfect. It was close to the center of Mitte (museums, restaurants, attractions, shopping, the Spree) and everything could be accessed by a short walk or a quick Uber. It was close to all of the museums and landmarks that we wanted to go to, and at the same time, the area was pretty quiet and peaceful (not many tourists seen walking around, which was pleasant).
Lastly, for gym enthusiasts, the gym was well stocked, modern, and peaceful. I like to get my exercise in even on vacations, so I was very pleased by the clean and modern gym. I should note here that I am a bit...
Read moreThe hotel is overrated. The prices are too high for what the hotel offers. The noise and thermic isolation are very bad. There is no AC which forces you to keep the windows open so you have to cope with the noise from the street. The room got too warm most of our stay and we stayed one week there. The cleaning is not great and often dirty mugs would be left and not renewed when they should be. Also, the cleaning services are not available after 4pm so if anything happens and you need an urgent cleaning or bedding / towels replacement you’ll have to find a solution by yourself. Reception is not very receptive to queries and you’d have to ask many times to get what you need. Room service is non existent… so if the option is either to get a delivery that you need to go down to reception get it yourself as the hotel doesn’t offer the “concierge” service at all or walk 10/15 min to the closest food place. You do not get the advantages of a hotel v Airbnb especially for the price you pay for the rooms… The location is maybe next to a subway stop but I’d you want to get a bite quickly you’d have to walk for at least 10 mins… The breakfast offer (25€/pp) is very light and the choice of the buffet is not so varied. I would not stay again at this...

We had a fantastic two-night stay at art'otel Berlin and couldn’t recommend it more! From start to finish, everything about our visit was delightful.
The breakfast was a standout highlight – plentiful and delicious, with the eggs Benedict being a particular favorite of ours. We also appreciated the hotel’s unique option to swap room maid service for four snack bar treats. For such a short stay, this was a fun and practical touch that we thoroughly enjoyed.
The location was perfect: quiet and peaceful, yet well-connected for sightseeing with an underground station just steps away. It was easy to explore the city while still having a tranquil retreat to return to.
The staff were exceptional – attentive, polite, and eager to make our stay enjoyable. A special mention to the lovely lady in glasses who looked after us at breakfast each morning; her friendly service really stood out.
We only regret not bringing clothes to enjoy the spa, which looked so inviting. It’s definitely on our list for next time!
Overall, art'otel Berlin provided an excellent base for our trip. The thoughtful touches and excellent service made it a truly memorable stay. Highly...
