TLDR: Bagels are really good, place is nice, owner attitude ruined it all. Don't rate them below 5 stars and you'll be alright, else he's gonna bully you!

My girlfriend and I usually come here for the salmon bagels, and enjoy staying there as the place has music we both enjoy. Only complaint we had is that they are quite slow serving the bagels and the coffees. She mistakenly rated them with 3 starts instead of four just to "make google maps shut up"

Our surprise was when we got to the coffee today and the owner, after requesting id for corona passport, asked my girlfriend why did she rated a three. She said it was a mistake, she can change it to four. He then asked why such a score. She explained that we noticed they serve food rather slow.

He then went on a rant about how capuccinos take X minutes to make (even by a trained barista!), and that bagels take a long time too. She must have been wrong!! At that moment we decided it was the last time we came in here, but to stay there and enjoy the bagels one last time.

Of course, the owner made the moment much more memorable by spicing our coffee and bagels with salty comments "this was fast eh??". Worst thing is that he was right, this was the only time he wasn't slow. I want to congratulate on the sudden improvement, and I really hope the salty remarks were satisfying to him.

As feedback for the owner, I don't think confronting customers about their score when they are coming back to your place is a good idea. It was a rather uncomfortable experience that unfortunately was too much for us. If you know our feedback isn't valid, just don't apply anything and don't take it personal. Please, work on taking 4 stars feedback before asking for feedback in the future. I cannot imagine your reaction to...

A cozy little Berlin gem with a splash of character!

This spot is undeniably cozy, with that unmistakable Berlin vibe—small, wooden décor, and walls that look like they’ve been lovingly plastered by a minimalist artist. The seating? Well, not made for lounging, but that’s part of the charm. It’s small and tight, just like Berlin’s cozy embrace.

The natural light streaming in made it feel like the perfect place to sip a cappuccino. Speaking of the cappuccino, it was full-bodied with a well-integrated milk profile and a slightly nutty and spicy flavor. The acidity was balanced, not too much, not too little. The aftertaste? Pleasant and smooth—nothing lingers too long, but just enough to make you want another sip. It could’ve been a bit warmer, but overall, very satisfying.

As for the staff, I think they were speaking Russian. They’re respectful and kind, but I felt like they could give just a bit more warmth from the heart. But they run the place well, and I respect that.

The music? A bit loud, but it blended perfectly with the other elements, creating a lively, enjoyable atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where the ambiance and coffee work together—nothing too bold, just a nice, balanced experience. It may not be Berlin’s best coffee, but it’s definitely one of the most respected. I miss the taste already.

So, if you’re after a slice of that Berlin style with a side of nutty, slightly spicy coffee, this place is calling your name. Just don’t plan on staying too long in those chairs!

I don't want to trash the place too much cause I think it can be a lovely shop and people are friendly if you're looking for an afternoon coffee. Their location is unfortunately one with a lot of passing through costumers, as it is between a U stationand a bus stop, and that is not good atall for them because I ordered to go, might as well have stayed in it took so long. They managed to have me wait TWENTY SIX MINUTES for a simple bagel and coffee order. And there were not that many other orders to even justify it. I damn near finished my coffee by the time my bagel arrived, and I even think something got mixed up and she handed the first order to the wrong person that came in after me but...mind you the place is TINY. it's not that hard to remember...when that is literally your job (and I say that kindly having worked as a waiter for 7 years in my life), especially since they give you these vibrating things to literally number and remember your order....even if they are not used in the end 😂 If something like this happens, which it can, we're human, they can be short staffed, who knows, but then at least apologize to your costumers and don't just pretend like it's normal. So bottom line is I took an uber to work after cause I was so late now, but I guess if you're coming with time it's a cute place.

ps. I will say the Bagel was quite...

Beautiful experience! I pass this place many times and today I finally decided to stop for a quick solo coffee before work. The vibe is so nice and cozy, the coffee had the perfect taste and temperature. The best part.. both baristas there were very warm and welcoming. The only bad thing about this place is that is not closer to my home. This is the perfect specialty coffee around the corner that makes you love your neighborhood. The type of place you want to visit al least once per week to get a perfectly brewed coffee and a smile.

* CASH ONLY* We visited this place on Christmas Eve and it is right beside the Märkisches Museum U Bahn and the place is pretty cozy. There are limited seating and limited menu options which is good if things are prepared freshly. We ordered Cappuccino and Bagels, one with ham, another with salmon and sour cream. The bread of the bagel tasted a bit stale and it was pretty cold. Their coffee was really good though. It is one of the best that I have tried in Berlin. They really should look into the food section a bit more.
