Hotel Lindenufer — Hotel in Berlin

U-bahn (subway) is basically right outside hotel while two S-bahn (train) stations are within short walking distance. Hence easy to travel in/out of Berlin and easy to get to Tegal Airport using this transit (25 minutes - One bus with one stop then 7 U-bahn stops). Hotel is close to Waldbühne if you are attending concert. 3 flights of stairs to climb. No AC, small rooms with small bathroom tolerable but bed mattress comfort was awful!! Small breakfast area - ok selection of items. wifi ok, tv not great quality and no english channels. Staff very friendly and helpful. Town is quaint, a number of shops and restaurants right outside and around hotel area with indoor/outdoor eating (no cars as streets are basically pedestrian only). Nice little town to walk around in. I think the room price was a bit too high for what this hotel offered (there was construction in the courtyard outside our window at 730am in the morning ... noisey machinery... so forget about sleeping in especially when windows need to be open due to...

Lovely Staff, Good Breakfast and Clean.

Downsides, our room as up 8 flights of stairs! Lugging our cases up there was exhausting! The website also says they have a luggage porter, which clearly they don't! The stairs were an issue during the holiday, once we were out there was no chance we would nip up for collect something we forgot! My friend counted the steps and there were 180 steps between the entrance and our room.

The room was also a let down, we booked a standard double with king size mattress. What we had was a twin room with 2 single beds! The room also had tilted ceilings which you had to manover around to get to the window, table and second bed. We both banged our heads at least once!

The beds couldn't of been pushed together due to the frames, it would of left a 8inch gap between mattresses... so considering we booked a double i am not impressed.

It was my second time visiting Berlin, and we thought that we would give this hotel a try. We were pleasantly surprised. It was in a different part of town than where we usually stay, but the hotel was close to many of the sites we had mapped out for our trip to Berlin this time around. Spandau is a great district and the hotel was RIGHT on the U-Bahn, which allowed us to explore during the three days that we were there. ||||The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and after a long day of sightseeing, it was great to come back to a quiet room and have a great breakfast the next morning. The staff were friendly and readily answered questions and provided suggestions about what to do in the area. Being an English speaker only, staffs impeccable language skills made it pleasurable to communicate.||I would definitely recommend...
