Hotel La Principessa — Hotel in Hamelin

I have stayed in this hotel lots of times (10). Usually its business trips lasting from 2 to 8 nights. ||Hotel has perfect location from city center and is not in noisy area. It has parking spots if not just next to hotel, then 50m away in special parking area. ||Rooms are quite similar in general, its a bit strange just under the roof on the top floor, but since I have tried many of these, cant tell that there is a quality difference in between, so that is a very positive point.||Rooms are equiped with everything basic, its clean and cleaned every day, no additional "pets" like mice :). i have stayed there in summer and there was no flies or mosquitos. ||Wifi is something similar to all remaining Germany - sometimes its poor or not working (in quite rara cases). Its not a big or lasting problem in general, but happens time to time. ||Breakfast is perfect. Nice selection of everything and its not too much :) ||so in general - thumbs up. it would be 4.5 as last point, but friendly receiptionist makes it 5 :) She speaks with slight accent and this gives La Principessa bonus point for "italian feel" in Germany...

Im Sommermonaten wollten wir mit offenem Fenster schlafen. Direkt gegenüber ist allerdings ein Mehrfamilienhaus oder Sozialwohnungen. Auf jeden Fall wurde dort Sowohl von Freitag auf Samstag, als auch von Samstag auf Sonntag "ordentlich gefeiert". Nachts um 3 Uhr ein Gegröle und Krakele. Sobald das Personal kam, war zudem noch ein kleiner Hund im Garten, der den Morgen über gejault und gekläfft hatte, weil Frauchen drinnen war und der Hund draußen bleiben mußte. ||Ankommende Gäste, die spät Abends heimkamen waren auch "sehr hörbar". Vom Aufschließen der Tür Unten und oben, bis hin zum Toilettengang war alles gut Hörbar. Nichts für Leute mit leichten Schlaf (falls man überhaupt zum Schlafen kommt). ||Das Frühstück war auch ziemlich "gewöhnlich". Wurst, Brot, Müsli und Yoghurt aus dem Lidl. Reichhaltig, aber doch "genau wie zu Hause". Das Obst schmeckte "komisch", als wäre es schon ein paar Tage alt (aufgeschnitten wohlgemerkt). ||Das Personal wirkte nicht sehr motiviert und man hatte irgendwie das Gefühl, dass man störte. Irgendwelche Gespräche haben ohnehin nicht stattgefunden (woanders pläuschelt man ja schon mal mit den Gästen). ||Die Zimmer waren sauber und Hübsch eingerichtet. Das Bad sah sehr edel aus, jedoch fehlte einiges an "Komfort". So gibt es z.B. keine Ablagemöglichkeiten für die Kleidung oder ein Hocker um sich mal hinzusetzen um z.B. Socken anzuziehen. ||In der Dusche fehlt ebenfalls eine Abstellmöglichkeit z.B. für Duschgel oder Shampoo (gerade für die, die mit mehreren Sachen Duschen müssen). ||Ein Parkplatz ist "bei Verfügbarkeit" vorhanden. Wenn der Parkplatz allerdings schon vergeben ist, muß man auf der anderen Flussseite Parken.||Zwar ist das Hotel sehr Innenstadtnah aber zu einem hohen Preis - nicht nur im Geldlichen Sinne. ||Für diesen Preis kann ich das Hotel leider nicht...

I stayed a couple of times this year at La Principessa and have been rather satisfied with the accommodations. It is a no frill place, nothing luxurious, but a rather homy and comfortable spot. It has the perfect location in town, a couple of minutes walking to the town center and all the shops and restaurants. ||They serve a very good and solid breakfast in the morning and the staff is generally helpful and courteous. ||I suggest to find a room on the newer side of the building. They are larger and have more light. The Wi Fi seems to work better on that...
