The staff was very friendly and super helpful in every situation. The place is in high demand, even in the off-season. I recommend reserving your restaurant preference at the same time of the room reservation. We did not get a spot right away, but Bell Rock sent us over to the beautiful Coloseum Hotel for dinner, which was another very beautiful hotel and definitely worth seeing. Everything was very child-friendly. The restaurant even has a slide for the kids and Ed Euromaus comes by every morning to say hi to the kids at breakfast. The food buffet was excellent and whoever makes the pancakes and scrambled eggs has reached the highest skill on that it seems. Oh yeah. The whole American patriotism theme makes one want to donate to the local bald eagle charity. The hotel itself does not have eagles as far as I have seen, but they do provide nests for the Western White Stork on their rooftops, which is also a welcome sight. Speaking of biodiversity. They make you aware that even the little critters deserve a place on this Earth, even if tmey get lost in your room. Also very cool. đ
The hotel is conveniently located close (5 min footwalk or less) to a Edeka and Lidl Supermarket, if you're in need of supplies for your park visit. It is also located 5 min by foot (through a beautifully kept garden with epic background music) from the Spanish part of the Europa Park, so you get your Sangria right away upon entering the park. Shuttle buses take you to any other part of the park that you need to get to. If you want to go to Rulantica, there is a free bus to take you there. If you are planning on only going to Rulantica, then Hotel Kronasar would be the more convenient choice for you.
Solid 5 out of...
Read moreWeâre a family with three children (10, 12 and 14). We had a shocking and unpleasant experience when we arrived to check-in at the hotel. ï»ż The receptionist at the hotel was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional.
When we checked-in, the receptionist asked me how old my children were. I informed her their ages, which also corresponded to their dates of birth detailed in our on-line reservation.
Then abruptly, she pointed at the kidsâ dates of birth detailed in a print-out copy of the on-line booking and started to lecture me and go on a rant about how children 12 and over need to pay adult price.
My husband, children and I were shocked by her outburst and didnât understand what triggered her behavior or what the issue was. I calmed informed her itâs all good from our side, the dates of birth in her records are all correct and the hotel is welcome to charge us accordingly. She made us feel like we were trying to cheat the system by not being truthful about the age of our children. I could understand her rudeness and behavior if this were indeed the case, but this was clearly not the case. We had no idea what triggered her to talk down at us.
When I kindly informed her that her tone and behavior made us feel uncomfortable, she went on to say that she has been working at the hotel for over 30 years and weâre the issue, not her. In summary, my family and I were shocked and disappointed by the poor level of customer service at check-in.
Having said this, I also need to highlight that the rest of the hotel staff were helpful, friendly and professional. I sincerely hope that no other hotel guests ever have to be subjected to the experience we had...
Read moreI've stayed at The Bell Rock hotel at Europa Park several times over the past few years, and it's hands-down one of the best theme park hotels in the world. Everything about the hotel and its associated facilities is incredible, and it's always a pleasure to stay there.
The rooms are well-sized and feature immersive theming. Everything is tastefully designed, and there's everything you could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The beds are extremely comfortable too, and I honestly slept incredibly well.
Breakfast is fantastic, with a huge buffet selection. There's everything you could possibly think of, from an egg station to pancakes, hot dishes to a huge continental selection â it's brilliant.
There are several restaurants on-site, as well as a nice spa and a lovely heated pool. Even in winter, it's lovely and warm.
The hotel bar is also excellent, serving a huge selection of drinks. The cocktails are extensive and excellent too. Europa Park is only a few minutes walk away, and there is a shuttle that runs to the Rulantica Water Park too that departs throughout the day from the front of the hotel.
The hotel has a captivating theme that runs throughout every wall, floor, and garden. It's truly spectacular, and there's always something that impresses me every time I visit. I always look forward to a visit to The Bell Rock, and although it's not a cheap experience, I always find it excellent...
