Positives: The hotel is really big and spacious. The staff are really nice and helpful. The restaurants at this hotel are very good. We had a lovely dinner in the medici restaurant and our waiter was so lovely. Breakfast I suggest get there between 7am and 8am as less people and so much more options for food. The breakfast was really good food otherwise. Choices of full English breakfasts, pancakes, cereals, pastries, different breads, sausages, fruit, yoghurt and drinks including hot chocolate and hot milk. There is a pool with lockers and showers that anyone staying in the park/any hotel can use. The staff left Champaign and chocolate for my fiance on his birthday in our room with a card which was lovely. There is a blue shuttle Bus that comes every 15 minutes or so opposite the hotel to get around the park. The swimming pool was nice and heated and had an outdoor and indoor part to it.
Negatives: I wouldn't call it a four star hotel due to lack of room facilities. No tea or coffee in the room. No shampoo or conditioner bottles or anything in the bathroom you'd usually find in a 4 star hotel. There isn't 24 hour room service. We wanted to go into the sauna one day but found there is a rule that you MUST be naked. My fiance and I got kicked out along with another girl for wearing swim suits. This is the same for the sauna at the water park. If you're okay being naked then you're fine to go in! Not for us though. I feel there should be an option for this for people who aren't as comfortable. No robes or slippers in the rooms but if you want one you have to go to the spa and ask for a robe then you must take back the day you check out of the hotel. We had some drinks in our room one night, I forgot to return the glasses to the bar downstairs. I thought room service might have done this but they left them for me to take back down. This was fine but most hotels I've stayed in usually take glasses back for you. Although I had booked a double room our room had a bunk bed in it. Not a terrible thing but odd otherwise.
Overall: This hotel was definitely a nice hotel and despite the negatives I...

The location is terrific, directly across the street from the hotel guest park entrance, and you don't even have to "cross the road" since there is an underground tunnel.
Using the Hotel App for Europa Park, you get notified when the room is ready and when you arrive, you can go straight to the room using your phone app as the room key.
The hotel is really beautiful. The reception area is beautifully decorated. The restaurants are really good (breakfast and dinner). There is a kids play area that is 3-levels. It can get a bit chaotic but fun place for kids to unwind. The outdoor patio area has a nice sitting area to see the "fountain" show and has the colosseum in the background.
We had a suite, and I found it very hard to find info on Colosseo suites, so I hope the pictures and my description will help someone.
As you enter the suite to the right is the bathroom. There is a separate room with toilet and sink, and then the main bathroom with two sinks and a bathtub. And if you have little kids, what I call a "hobbit" bathroom. Small little hole in the wall for kids, toilet and sink ... no door ... but very cute.
If you continue straight there is the living room with the bunk beds.
And then off of the living room is the bedroom with a queen sized bed. There are also doors to a patio outside. Alas, the bedroom does not have any A/C vents so it does get stuffy in the room. But if you don't mind the lack of vents, then the room should be fine.
The hotel is truly very nice and would highly...
Read more2024 UPDATE: I've been hotel guest 10 times now, so I thought an update is in order.
The overall service quality has been dropping. It's a sum of many small annoyances which I don't expect from a 4star hotel. Let me give you a few examples There are 8 drink vending machines available for guests, 2 on each floor. I just came back empty handed from an adventure in search for a holy grail of one working machine. All are broken. I've been telling hotel management about the lack of heaters in rooms to dry wet clothes after a day in a park full of water activities (or just having to spend day in the park while it's raining). Guess what. Still nothing. Not even a drying rack. There is way too many people for the restaurant space available Never mind how many times you return, you are still treated like a first time guest. No one even is going to say thank you for coming back.
Otherwise it offers excellent ambiance and immersion, great breakfast and nice restaurants selection, but... Dinner capacity is too low, people waiting to be seated are camping outside of restaurants, this has been a problem for years and nothing has been done to help change that. Queues in the park, queues in the hotel? Is that the kind of an experience the 4 stars hotel is committed to?
Don't know if it's still a thing but in the past it's also pretty annoying when you want to go with your kid to the games room in the evening only to learn that you should bring piles of coins with you. Hotel facilities should be free of additional...
