Goldenkey Hotel — Hotel in Accra

It is good to travel and stay in different types of accommodations. As a guest house, I had to adjust my mindset re: room size/ dimensions. All the rooms are clean and well attended to with daily room service. And the service by every staff member is world class. The attention to details and the comfort of my family and I was personal and very touching. There was nothing we did not ask for that we did not get. The food is very good: tasty, flavourful, and peppery hot, as is typical of Ghanaian food, which is what I most enjoyed. There was an incident with one employee that was addressed by management IMMEDIATELY and resulted in a respectful and favourable outcome. The pool was under renovation for the time I was there; so, that was not accessible. Oh, and there's no gym/ work out area. The surrounding neighbourhood is a good to walk around safely. I did walk daily with no issues. And, the hub bub of the city is close. Within walking distance there are 2 supermarkets, many eateries, 2 other hotels and I think 1 club, and an overabundance of sidewalk vendors. I was looking for a hotel while in transit through Accra. I wanted something reasonably priced, with free airport service and breakfast. The Golden Key Hotel was the right choice! Even though I was only there for one night it was a most pleasant experience. || Gottfried, the hotel manager, was awaiting me at the airport and transported me in an air-conditioned SUV and helped me with an early check-in. Others on staff were equally friendly and courteous. They made me feel like a very special guest!|| The hotel is very clean, felt secure, and both my dinner and breakfast were great. It is a serene place to stay. They have a big pool where you can relax in. They have hot tubs in every room. You also have access to a large Television for your entertainment and relaxing.
