Maria's Place — Hotel in Antiparos Municipality

The rating of 3.5 is in comparison to some of the better places we have stayed in on this and other Greek trips. |||| We liked Maria’s Place but if we returned to Antiparos we may try somewhere different, but would still be happy to return. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were allocated a very big apartment with a nice terrace. The air-con was very effective and the kitchen was reasonably equipped, though we ate out in the evening. There were just some things missing that are provided in other studios on our travels round Greece. Some would argue that the place is a little tired. Simple, close to town but further enough away to be peaceful, Maria's Place is a great find. Athena and Spiros are incredibly hospitable always full of great ideas and incredibly helpful with a most appreciated pickup from the port. Rooms cleaned perfectly daily. ||||The rooms are spacious but basic and the AC works really well on hot nights. We love the courtyard gardens with tables and chairs under flowering bouganvilia. We decided to spend a bit more than usual for the last few days of our holiday, which brought us to Maria's Place, it was a decision well made. A clean and comfortable room with a well equipped kitchenette and large (by Greek standards) bathroom with excellent shower. Located a couple of minutes walk from the main street it is a quiet haven to stay with lots of pretty outside sitting areas for relaxing with a drink in the day or evening.
