NAUTICA coffee & bites - Antiparos — Restaurant in Antiparos Municipality

I cannot say enough good things about this place — the location, the view, the vibe, and the food are all wonderful. While traveling, it is rare that I visit the same place more than once even when things are wonderful, but my friend and I came here 3 times on our short trip to Antiparos because of these things, but most of all the exceptional service and vibe created by John (taller gentleman with salt and pepper hair and a great mustache!)

He welcomed everyone with such kindness, switching languages with guests from all over— noting to a couple from Germany that they know good beers, “ciao” with Italian guests, “merci” with French speakers, etc.

I have worked in the service industry in many capacities all across the US, and have owned and operated my own restaurant for over 8 years, and the hospitality shown by John is a reminder of the service/hospitality industry at its best. Nautica has many great things to offer, and they have a rare gem in John. Hope to return next season and hope he does as well!

(Ps: I also appreciated that I was able to sit and work on my orders and enjoy great coffee, drinks, complimentary still water, and the atmosphere for quite awhile. I’m also needing to know what the green leaf in the tomato salad I’m posting a picture of was, I’m not familiar with it and it was a great component...

Warning ⚠️ ⚠️ If you are dark-skinned, do not approach this place. They will treat you with racism and the worst treatment you can imagine. I have been subjected to racism in this place. This has never happened to me before. I have been living in Greece for 10 years and have been to most of the islands. There is an Albanian woman in her forties. I asked her for coffee and respectfully asked her where there is a taxi here. She immediately spoke to me in a very bad way. When I asked her why she was talking to me like this, she started saying insults and obscene words to me. When we went to talk to the owner of the place, he asked me to leave the place and I told him that she insulted me. He said to me, "Do you hear me?" The shock for me is that she came to me and said the same words once or twice. I have witnesses to this incident and I am very, very upset. I was subjected to racism because of the color of my skin and my nationality. I do not recommend this place at all. I was subjected to racism within 5 minutes, which I have not been subjected to in...

These people are greedy, rude, gross money obsessed pigs. I am a woman who is 2 months pregnant and I asked to use the toilet and the greedy pig man wouldn’t let me use it and treated me like scum and then his wife joined in and they said if I’m not sitting down then I can’t use the toilet as it’s not public. Where is kindness in the world today when two people treat a pregnant woman like that? I would never go to this cafe. I hope they close down with their greed. Tbh my husband and I would have come for dinner later but after being treated this badly, we won’t and we will tell all friends and family to stay away too.

P.s: look at their reply, they’re money hungry people who only treat CUSTOMERS (so there’s only humanity if you pay) and not human beings overall. I wouldn’t have dirtied their toilet, but they’ve sure...
