Faidra Bed and breakfast — Hotel in Chios Municipality

Faidra has been my home for the past month, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My room was inexpensive yet charming, clean, fresh, and airy, done with white bed linens and towels. The photographs on the site are completely accurate. Miss Mariana, the housekeeper, is flexible, accommodating, and cheerful. Owners Tereza, Nikos, and Achilleas are sweet, responsive, and kind. They took time to help me with my phone, packages I had shipped here, getting medications I needed, right in the middle of also running the Pastards restaurant (and bar!) downstairs, where the food is fantastic, simple Italian dishes made with love by Chef Andonis and served by the beautiful Monica, Maria, and Irini. There isn't one dish I had that I wouldn't order again. (I solved the Spaghetti Labyrinth; perhaps Achilleas will tell you how I did it.) Ask for a room on M. The hotel was nice, clean and great location, however, my room with one large bed was super cramped. The toilet was crammed between the sink and the shower, making it hard to use it, and I'm a super skinny person so I can't imagine someone larger than me using it. You can forget it if you're an elderly person as well. And yes, the music is pretty loud depending on which side of the hotel your room is on, so unless you plan on partying it up with the rest of those guys, think twice about which room you stay in. Breakfast is just the basics: cereal, bread and jam & coffee. What impressed me here was the restaurant. I don't know why it is called bed and breakfast since there is no breakfast provided. The building is very nice but the bathroom would need some renovation - there was a leek at the shower. The rooms are cozy but unfortunately there is a lot of noise during the night, because half of the building is close to a night club and the other half close to a main road. I would suggest earplugs. Other than that it is very clean - we had clean towels and cleaning every day which is not necessary, but...
