Cardamom — Restaurant in Chios Municipality

Very slow service, the food was not as described on the menu. The food was terrible and due to slow serviced we received our food cold. We sent it back, when it arrived, it was even colder then the first time. They just brought us back the same food. The tables on the front patio are squeezed into a small area so that customers and servers keep bumping into each other's chairs and tables and you are so close to other customers it just feels like everyone is sitting at the same table. Then it took over 30 minutes to get the check after asking for it repeatedly. Tourist trap, zero...

This is one of the best places to eat in Chios center/port for sure. It has to offer traditional greek food (sometimes with a little twist), fresh ingredients, and polite stuff.

We were 4 hungry grown adults and we had the "kardamo" salad, tyrokafteri salad (feta cheese with chilly flakes), and for main dishes we had linguine meatballs with feta cheese and tomato sauce, pastitsio (but with a twist), grilled chicken and pork fillet.

Total bill with 5 beers and water 80€ so you can call it...

We loved everything about this place. The interior is very decent but cozy and there was piano music playing in the background at a perfect level of volume. We had a waitress and a waiter and both of them spoke perfect English, were so kind and friendly that we immediately felt welcome and well taken care of.
