Our host, the owner, was very warm and welcoming when we arrived. She immediately put us at ease and made the whole stay comfortable. She gave us a short history of the place while we were checking in, and made sure to give us recommendations where to eat and where to visit. We initially planned to just walk around town before heading for the mountain the next day, but she recommended some short hikes which we enjoyed before having dinner in town, in a place she recommended as well.
The room was cozy, and we liked that the soap provided in the room was artisanal and not commercially made. I regretted forgetting to pack it with me as it would have been discarded anyway since we used it. The beds were comfortable as well.
Breakfast was included and was served in a common table where you can chat with the other guests. The eggs were freshly cooked by the host herself, and the bread served was local. Our experience staying here was really great and it was one of our favorite stays during our trip to Greece.
She also arranged for a taxi to take us to Prionia the next day, and graciously allowed us to leave a small bag of clothes so we'd have less stuff to pack on our hike to Olympus, which we picked up a few days later.
Highly recommended place to stay...

Read moreThis is a really interesting little guesthouse. The decor took me completely by surprise when entering the building but in a good way. It was a welcoming little place to stay but you are sure to be awake at 7:30am with the ringing of church bells. The rooms were clean and sufficient yet very cozy. The breakfast table is the most interesting part of the experience as you can let them know when you’ll be ready for your spread and they’ll prepare the table for you for the time you state which means you may be seated with the other hotel guests for your morning coffee. We had a very good group of other guests to share our breakfast time with so it was a pleasant experience if you’re up for a chat with others in the morning. My only disappointment was with the lack of selection served for breakfast. Only bread, cheese, small selection of deli meat and spreads. No veggies, fruit,...
