From start to finish, my trek with Trekking Hellas Mt Olympus was absolutely phenomenal & nothing short of magical! From the moment I met my guide, Alex, I knew I was in the best hands. Professional, passionate & incredibly flexible. After a introduction & getting know a bit about the person he took for hike , he suggested to ascend different way so we made a circle plus to start earlier than usual so we could admire a beautiful sunrise from Skala! He made the entire journey both safe & deeply inspiring. Alex was nothing short of extraordinary.

Going to the top of Mount Olympus is of course a great adventure. We highly recommend this if you are in good shape. It is however not without risk, especially the last climbing part, up and down. Therefore we recommend taking a guide, using a harness and a helmet. We felt safer being tethered to the rope, each other and our guide. Our guide also guided us through the climbing. The one thing we did not like was that he walked ahead of us until we reached the climbing part, so the first 3 hours or so. He was way too fast. So fast that we effectively had to find our own way up. This was very frustrating. So, if you use this company, please specify if you want to go up really really fast or at a normal pace (and a safe pace). Then make sure they and they guide know this. We were upset with our guide who most of the tour left us way behind. (And we are not that slow, just safe. We hiked 10 days to Everest base camp the year before, we are not inexperienced) So: yes, use a guide for your own...

This was an expedition to remember and talk about for years! We embarked in this two day adventure with my son (age 14), to conquer Mt Olympus.
