We arrived in Ikaria knowing we wanted to go to Therma, so once we got there (with a hire car), we rang this place and spoke with Jason, the proprietors son, who speaks English. The residence is 50 metres from the church, at the entrance to the town, and to reach the accommodation there are about 50 steps. Our room was clean, comfortable and cosy, had a kitchenette, small bathroom and balcony where you could hang out your wet bathers or towels etc. It is a quiet area. The family is very generous and hospitable. We were treated to several samples of Jason's mums delicious cooking of Ikarian food. On the first night we realized we did not have any bread to go with our dinner and when George (the father) found out (he came to our door to give us some of their olives to try) he immediately gave us some. The rooms are about 3 minutes walk from cafes, restaurants, bakery and the three thermal establishments. Easy parking down the steps on a "no through road". There is a walking path to Agios Kyrikos which makes for a pleasant walk of about 20 minutes (otherwise there is an hourly bus). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.||We think Ikaria is a special island; it is rugged and wild in places, and it was a privilege to interact with the...
Read moreAn excellent place to stay in Therma, Ikaria! I came from Manhattan, New York, and stayed there for 23 days in July-August 2024. The recommendation came from my nephew who had visited the place in the past. The location was within two-minute walking distance from the beach, the rooms were thoughtfully furnished and VERY clean, and the hospitality was outstanding! The everyday maintenance of the rooms met the highest standards and I felt very comfortable in all my interactions with the host and his family. My understanding from my contact with the locals was that this business is well respected by the local community - and this is a well-earned reputation. Iasonas Rooms is the place my family and friends chose to stay every time we will...

He helped us many-times. I can say he is our friend. He cleans rooms on his own. He is free to advice. I think we will miss him. We spent time with him and his girlfriend and we are greatful we...
