We decided to stay at this hotel after carefully looking at all options in the village, and then speaking to the owner on the phone to ensure we would get a 3rd floor room. That was eplicitly confirmed as we were newly married and were looking for something nice rather than something cheap. That was 4 full months before our arrival and we paid the full balance at the same time. Upon arrival the owner took as to a basement room that was mouldy, humid, dilapidated and rather squalid in all honesty ( you can check the photos of our stay). When we complained the owner's reaction was dismissive, kind of 'these things happen because you stay for just one night' and 'all our rooms are the same'. The room had a lot stains on all walls, the paintwork was cracking from damp in all walls, and the ancient bathroom was underneath the staircase, with lots of mould on the shower curtain etc. We had to double check online later to see the room we actually paid for and compare it against the basement one we were given, and of course they were totally, totally different. The foxy owner, apart from giving us a horrible room tried to get away with charging us the high season rate of a normal room (75eur per night). When we had a look around the basement floor we realized that next to us was the laundry room and service room, so i believe our 'room' was cleaners' or owners' accommodation and we were relegated there simply to give the room we paid for to someone else. The morning after the owner's mother tried to apologize when we complained further, and offered back 30eur to adjust the price. That is the only reason i give our stay 2 stars, as we both treated like fools by the owner and stayed in probably the worst accommodation we have ever stayed at. I think our 'mistake' was booking directly with the owner on the phone instead of going via a review-enabled platform, so if you feel like staying here best do that to be treated...

It also had an elevator which is a huge plus in Europe. And the breakfast was delicious.||All in all, we were super happy with our stay.
