Elinotel Polis Hotel — Hotel in Kassandra Municipality

After reading so many bad reviews I was a little hesitant about going but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were pleasant and helpful, room basic but cleaned daily only negative is lack of storage space, most was taken up with blankets. Food is not 5but we are in a 3hotel and I thought that there was plenty of choice, each day brought different variations of chicken, pork, beef, pasta and rice (at least two types of meat), plenty of salad and dressings, steamed vegetables and roast, boiled or fried potatoes. Plenty of fresh bread and fruit and if someone can't find anything they like then they are very fussy eaters. I have done all inclusive before and it did not surprise me that only local drinks were included and that international drinks were charged for. The only downside is that the water is served by the glass and not the bottle but even that as if you bought a drink in one of the many cafes and bars whilst out sightseeing then a bottle of water was also added to the order free of charge. The food was so horrible, poor and tasteless with a completely uninspired menu. I just couldn't match any main dish with any side dish. It simply won't work. To give you an example: one evening we had some tasteless tortellini at dinner and for the breakfast next morning they kept the same disgusting tortellini, mixed it with a tone of mayonnaise. For breakfast!!! Another example: we were served with some hot hot burning watermelon and the hotel manager told me that it's normal to keep the watermelon outside in the sun in the backyard to...ripen better!!! I do admit it was a cheap hotel. I am not asking for luxury but still... This is offending us already. There is no decency there. Tried to speak with the hotel manager on site here at the hotel and he is in a complete denial. The rooms were dirty. No appliances in the bathroom, no shelves for the personal products etc. The worst of everything it was the water disruptions. We couldn't take any bath in the afternoon after a beach day because there was no cold...

I am totally dissatisfied with this hotel. The pictures do not show the reality unfortunately. 😖 Regarding the rooms, they are quite bad, the bed mattresses are very hard, you have the impression that you are sleeping on stones, the bathroom is pathetic, dirty, full of limestone. Rust, very old furniture, very unpleasant smell. I stayed for a week with stress that the toilet would back up, I would flush the water and it would come back…….. As for the food, I advise you not to even have breakfast if you decide to stay here, I’m not saying anymore of dinner. Same food every day and poor quality, fruits and vegetables are missing from this location like the fish also. Sin! We were 4 couples and all the rooms were the same.
