Hotel Capital Lux — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

I want to warn future guests about Capital Lux Hotel in Nidri, Lefkada – this was an absolute disappointment and one of the worst stays we’ve ever had.|| • The swimming pool was dirty, green-colored, and smelled awful. There’s no proper filtration system – they just throw in chlorine manually in the evenings, which is unhygienic and unacceptable - (last 2 days owner GORAN (read GOVAN) not allow to swim in pool). || • The owner greeted us by saying “I’m Goran the Mafia guy”, which was beyond inappropriate. He was rude, unprofessional, and made us feel uncomfortable from the start.|| • Air conditioning was charged extra, but we were only told about it after arrival – with no prior notice and no willingness to explain.|| • No towels or bed linen were provided in the room. We asked, and he refused to give us any.|| • The lights are all on sensors, making it impossible to keep them on or off manually – very impractical and frustrating.|| • He also refused to provide toilet paper, saying it was “too much of an expense” for him.|| • The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, despite being advertised as free.|| • Throughout our stay, he kept saying things like: “Don’t break anything, be careful with the kitchen tools, don’t damage the pool – I’ll get fined…” – which was incredibly stressful and ruined the atmosphere.||||This was not a holiday, it was a nightmare. We were shocked by the lack of hospitality, basic service, and the disrespectful attitude of the host.||||🛑 Our strong advice: Stay away from this place. There are many much better and friendlier accommodations in Lefkada.||||||||1. Let me emphasize that at one point ants appeared in the room!||2. Near the hotel is the beginning of Nydri beach, all other events are as far as 1km from the hotel.||3. Overall, the hotel was safe, but not recommended for vacation because of the owner, who is a complete jerk. We got the impression that he brought us here for vacation and was setting us the conditions under which we had to function. Disaster||||5. There is no food in the hotel. In each room you have small kitchens in which, look, there are only 2 utensils, cups, plates, even only 2 forks... literally unbelievable!||6. I've listed everything important, maybe there's something I missed, but this is a disaster experience for everyone. I believe the ratings it received were all shared by fake profiles because absolutely nothing is even worth...

The building is unfinished, the rooms are too small, air conditioning is charged additionally, the lighting in the building is very bad. The room was not ready until 3 p.m. When we entered the room, none of the ceiling lights were working and the owner ignored our request to fix the lights. Only after contacting the agency representative, he fixed only 1 light. Our three-bed studio was actually a two-bed room with a third bed inserted, so we had nowhere to turn in the room. The third bed was placed in such a way that it partially blocked the door to the terrace, so we had to move it every time we wanted to go out to it. There were minimal dishes in the kitchen, the siphon under the sink was leaking and that part smelled of mold all the time. The curtain holder in the bathroom was broken, so the curtain was dragging on the bathroom floor and was completely unusable as protection during showering. There was no ceiling light in the bathroom, only a piece of ice tape on the mirror, so it was quite dark in the evening and at night. None of the rooms have any clothes dryers, so you are forced to dry your wet towels and bathing suits on the chairs and terrace fence. We only had one sheet for covering, and since we were there in the second half of September and the nights were already cooler, we asked the owner for some additional cover, which he didn't have. The building is located next to the road, so there is non-stop traffic noise. All in all, the price we paid is completely inadequate for the quality of service...
