Kalypso Restaurant — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Very nice food, high quality and very tasty. They have 2 service persons; they are nice and trying to do their best. Service is fast and good! We have been there twice, and these short but recurrent visits lead us to leave some comments if they want to take it as a improvement reason. 1- Baby chair: unfortunately they dont have it. So you need to find out a solution if you are there with a child. Today they provide us extra pillows, but as everyone knows, children cant eat on a soft surface. Having one seat could improve their generosity. 2- Tense atmosphere: Unfortunately, the atmoshphere is rather tense. Service persons get approval for each action. For example, if someone wants to sit a table which is not appropriate for restaurant, they ask for an approval. I think they should be feeling more relaxed, which could improve customer relations (i am not sure if it is important for them).

Answer for the comment of restaurant: Very good of you that already ordered one! I am sure it will help your environment to have less conflicts in terms of finding a good location for the families with a child.

On the other hand, I highly recommend you to not take the comments personally, since I am not. But saying “you should know not to sit” is not nice. Of course one could sit any place if the others said not to. As a customer I look for my own best comfort. If that is not suitable, say sorry, how about if we have it in this table, instead saying yes than having a complaint. If you were wondering how much you can eat with 11€ in Kalypso, the answer is 3 meatballs. Went today for lunch, we were four people, the business owner (a middle-old age woman) was rude with us from the beggining, specially with my partner. We ordered a salad, fried zuccini, pasta, keftedakia (meatballs) and chicken with mushrooms and white sauce. The food was overall tasty but the quantity was ridiculous compared to anywhere else. Being in an island increases the prices but charging 11€ for 3 meatballas is the most incredible way of taking advantages of people I have seen in a while. When we finished we wanted to pay cash and we were 3€ short, so we explained one of us will go to the car to grab some change and come back. We were treated by this woman like we were going to run away and felt like criminals for having lunch in a restaurant. Two stars because the flavour of the food was not too bad but I will reccomend to anyone who doesn't want to be taken advantage off to never visit this place. After visiting Lefkada for several years, I must give me feedback to this wonderful Kalypso restaurant in Perigialion. First of all I will start with the location of the restaurant which is right on the beach is such a beautiful location. The staff are the most friendliest people we have met on the island, and the service and hospitality are second to none. As we decided, this location was perfect for us for some peace and relaxation, we started using this restaurant for our lunch, this turned out to be the best decision we made as the food was exceptional!!! The quality of the food outshone all the other restaurants during our stay, and we even decided to stay in Perigialion on our next visit. As you see in the attached photos, the Musaka, Meatballs, and even the Souvlaki were so fresh and tasty, and i would openly challenge anyone to find nicer food on the island.
