Ionion Apartments & Studios — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

We stayed in the two levelled apartment which had two rooms upstairs (and bathroom) with a kitchen and living area downstairs (also with bathroom) with a pull out sofa bed and additional single bed. Each room (apart from the kitchen which was the entrance) had it's own balcony which was lovely. ||||The apartment was spacious and clean, with good views and two good sized swimming pools. Kitchen had a good size fridge, with working oven and stoves and also a toastie making machine - a nice touch. ||||The owners were welcoming and very friendly, I cannot rate them high enough. ||||Our only criticism (which is why we haven't given 5 stars) was the beds. The mattresses upstairs were very uncomfortable, causing poor sleep and back/ neck ache the next day. The sofa bed and singular bed downstairs was comfortable. We suspect the downstairs is where children usually sleep with adults upstairs, and so the upstairs mattresses have had more use. ||||Another point to consider, is that it would be useful to be able to store or hang clothes downstairs as there is nowhere to do this. Even a small/ slim cupboard would help with this. ||||We would have to think twice about returning here due to the poor mattresses. But should these be replaced, then we would not think twice about booking again as the rest of the stay was lovely. ||||It's also about a 10-20 minute walk to Nidri depending on how quick you walk. ||||The safes are also key lock only - I would recommend this is upgraded...

We stayed at Ionion Apartments for 2 weeks on August.|Nydry is a nice small town and the apartment is perfectly located, close to the center and easy to reach from outside. It has a comfortable pool, good to recover energies after having spent the day at sea, especially with kids.|The apartment was very clean and spacious (we are a family of 4) and the family that manages the residence is very well organized and ready to support. My family and I visited these apartments for just a couple of days and wished we could have stayed longer. The kids loved the pools, which were a great size. The Greek owners were lovely and really helpful. The apartment was on two floors and was very spacious, with 3 balconies, one of which looked over the beautiful hills behind. What I really loved about these apartments is that they were at the back of Nidri, really quiet but just a few minutes walk from the centre. We can't wait to go back! Jane...
