Lemon Tree Corfu Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Beautiful house and clean rooms with good quality furniture, equipped kitchen and AC. The host met us on arrival even if our plane was very late. She showed us the room and welcomed us nicely. The trash was taken out from our room every day, everything was clean, towels changed frequently, the neighbourhood is quiet when kids are not in school as the rooms are facing some sort of kindergarten or school, 12 min walk to the Ipsos beach, 6 min drive to Barbati beach and 25 min drive from Corfu town. The position was ideal compared to the price. There are many tavernas close by and the host even has a supermarket in Ipsos! They also live upstairs and were even nice enough to lend us an iron to iron our clothes. You might hear the other guests through the walls every now and then, but other than that this is a very nice place to...

We were happy with the apartment. The owner was very kind, always asking us if everything is ok with our stay. The location is about 10 minute walk from the Ipsos beach, the area was calm and quiet (that means you also have to be quiet and respectful, the owners and other locals live in the area). I proprietari, marito e moglie, sono le persone più aggressive che abbia mai incontrato. Appena arrivati, invece di darci le chiavi, hanno iniziato a urlarci contro perché avevamo parcheggiato “a dieci centimetri fuori dalla linea”. Il marito, con una vena che gli pulsava in fronte, ha cominciato a battere con il pugno sul cofano dell’auto, mentre la moglie agitava un mestolo urlando che “nessuno tocca i loro limoni”.

La sera, quando abbiamo acceso la luce in salotto, hanno bussato con violenza alla porta gridando che stavamo “consumando troppa elettricità”. Ci hanno minacciati di staccare i fusibili se non spegnevamo tutto subito. Abbiamo pensato fosse uno scherzo, ma dopo cinque minuti il marito è entrato senza chiedere permesso e ha spento l’interruttore principale davanti a noi, ridendo in modo inquietante.

Durante la notte li abbiamo sentiti litigare ferocemente sotto la nostra finestra, lanciandosi insulti e… limoni! (sì, davvero). Poi hanno iniziato a urlare il nostro nome, come se fosse colpa nostra.

Non abbiamo chiuso occhio e alle sei del mattino ce ne siamo andati di corsa, senza nemmeno chiedere il rimborso. Peggior soggiorno della mia vita: un incubo a base di urla, minacce e limoni volanti.

State lontani da questo posto, a meno che non vogliate essere trattati come intrusi nel peggior film...
