Elychryson Hotel-Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

The people leaving good reviews are clearly still drunk. This Aparthotel is far from what it appears in the pictures. The staff are barely there, no security, pool is pure filth you could make a set of hair extensions with the hair floating around in the pool. Rooms are loud, people walk around screaming and shouting like king kong until 6am in the morning. The staff request that you leave the room at times that suit them so they can clean your room and steal from you, i forgot we arent paying customers on holiday. Dont bother confronting them about stealing though… they threaten to kick you out and claim that you are lying. Why would we lie about being stolen from when the maid coincidently did not attend work the following 48 hours after stealing from our room? The locals are totally aware of this behaviour though.. they didnt even flinch when we told them what happened 😂 Anyhow, enjoy this truthful review and book this aparthotel with caution. The holiday was probably the worst holiday to date and that was purely down to being stolen from. Also, sort your bathrooms out, you did “maintenance” on the shower multiple times during our 7 day stay but guess what? The shower still leaked and smelt of a rotten toilet with mould included. I had wonderful 2 days from June the 5th till 7th. The owners are welcoming you very friendly and with big hospitality. Not in every hotel, they have the same warmth way to meet you with. So you feel very relaxed already with the first meeting. Lovely apartment with long balcony. I like the quiteness there and if you want it more noisy, you just go few meters to the more traffical road, where shops are. Restaurants and bars will you see in front of the beaches. Take a walk there and just enjoy the relaxing ocean. What I did like about this new renovated hotel was also the little pool area for relaxing and if you choose to have breakfast inkluded, you will cerdenly not be dissapointed. I felt, like a very importent person getting such a big choise for breakfast . And when, you are there visit the 2 nearest Villages around 2 km away walking the same road, where the hotel is standing. Koutoloufari and piskopiano are a sight for calmness and to enjoy nice food. Near the hotel just 200 m away, there is a small Aquarium worth visiting and if you want to see more, there are a bigger Aquarium in Gouves a few kilometer away. If your looking to stay in Hersonissos -close to the beach - but want to have a place to go that is away from the noise and bustle of the sea front then this is the place to go. Everyone is very friendly and although the rooms are pretty basic they do exactly what is needed and more, with a little kitchen that is an added bonus. Everything is clean, the room is smart and the room service is perfect. Almost the best thing we found about this place was the pool, which although small and lacking in views was almost a private one we had to ourselves and offered a really peaceful and nice morning swim and sunbathe. Mine and our groups only negative was the view we had, which you should be warned is really nothing spectacular and looks over a rather beaten down street. However, this place was definitely value for money and helped us have a really wonderful and fun holiday in Crete, would highly recommend for anyone and especially those looking for a good night out in Hersonissos and also a sleep away...
