Pirates Of Crete — Attraction in Municipality of Chersonissos

Hmmm what can I say, Pirates of the Caribbean? Absolutely NOT. Where can I start. 2 major issues number 1, There was a worker whowis 6ft with muscles muscles who really liked the females ranging from females below 15 years old and over 60. The rest of the crew were very nice, but him he came across sleezy. He was all over my daughter who is 12 years old. Number 2. He was aggressive toward British people with bellys,(please note I am only 14 stone so not clinically obese). He told me 'haha you have a superman tattoo but you are fat', I said 'I have a superman tattoo because I like the hero, not because I think I'm him'. He said 'haha what have you ever achieved? I have been in Army.' I said 'I work on computers and I am a systems analyst.' I then said 'I have been married for more than 15 years with 3 children.' He proceeded to tell everyone 'he is fake superman with fat belly'. Wasn't just me there was a young lad who was overweight, and he proceeded to tell his mom and dad to stop poisoning their kid, 'look You're killing him.' The guy swore in front of my 6 year old twice and just laughed at me when I said you should not swear in front of kids. He's a proper arrogant man who thinks he is a greek god. BBQ included was nice, sadly not for kids. It was a plate full of bread loads of salad and a big pork chop. Two of my kids wouldn't eat it. I think this place is great for hen do's or stag parties. Stay clear families and British people. You only need to see the bad review and apparently one of the crew members jumped off the ship and punched a 15 year old boy. I would put money on it being this arrogant man. Also look at the companies reply to the bad reviews, the customer service is appalling. Oh and one last thing. They take you to a part of an island. There is one shop, and I can only imagine they are working together. It cost 30 euros for 5 diet coke's and 5...

There are no healthy measures, we were 2 hours in a bus to get to the boat ( we did several stops from heraklion to herssonisos) the bus driver was allowing everyone to go in the bus without mask even though we did already complaint that anyone in the bus was wearing a mask when we went in. When we arrived to the port one member of the crew asked who were the couple complaining and pushed me out of the queue. In any moment the crew member asked anyone to put the mask on. At that moment they asked a lot of details about us( hotel, room of the hotel, nationality) when we asked him his name he didn't let us know his name and told us that he was bond James Bond, and he told us that we are were not allowed to go in the boat because we were not in a positive and funny mood ( all because we care about health care law meassures again we were 2 hours in a bus full of people without mask). In front of the port authorities they told us that we were going to be totally refund at the travel agency where we booked the trip, surprise when we got there the girl in the desk told us that the company crew told her to only refund 50% of what we have already paid. There is lock down in crete during the night due to the amount of covid cases but apparently this company does not...

Am Abend trafen wir Jop und Tatjana am Hafen. Beide waren sehr freundlich und besonders Jop überzeugte uns am Bootstrip zum Folgetag teilzunehmen. Ein sehr freundlicher Kerl der von seiner Kleidung und Auftreten gut als Pirat durchgehen würde. Nur das Kopftuch erinnert etwas an Fasnacht. Jop sprach extra für mich und meine Freundin auf deutsch. Laut seiner Aussage beherrscht er mehrere Sprachen gut.

Er versprach uns eine Bootsfahrt mit guter Laune. Er klärte uns über die Wartezeit auf, bis wann das Schiff abfahren würde und je früher man kommt, desto besser kann man sich noch einen Platz aussuchen. Das Warten störte uns nicht da wir uns bewusst einen Schattenplatz ausgesucht haben. In der Sonne wäre es jedoch schwierig geworden, es war einfach zu heiß. Schließlich legte das Schiff ab. Tolle Musik von Fluch der Karibik und später teils deutsche Schlager wurden abgespielt. Die Crew trug zum Teil T- Shirts mit der Aufschrift Pirates von Crete und trugen für mich alberne Kopftücher die ersichtlich aus der Verkleidungskiste stammten.

Kommen wir jetzt zur Crew: Die empfand ich vom Gefühl her mit großem Potential. Würden die sich ihrer Rolle noch etwas bewusster werden und bessere Kostüme tragen, dann könnte daraus ein richtiges Piratenfeeling entstehen. Der Steuermann war gut gelaunt und humorvoll, so wie es von jemandem zu erwarten ist, der das Schiff durch jede Katastrophe fahren muss. Kinder durften lenken und er ließ uns über die Wellen springen, als würden wir Achterbahn fahren. Das war richtig cool. Dabei malte er Kindern Narben ins Gesicht. Der Alte der wie Asterix aussah und dafür sorgte, das der Tau festgezogen wurde war sehr freundlich, doch wenn er zu tun hatte zum Beispiel fegen, dann wurde er etwas myrrisch und bat etwas grantig, dass wir Platz machen sollten. Da kam bei mir dann echtes Piratenfeeling, fand ich sehr gut! Son älterer kleiner Pirat machte auch gern Späße und gute Laune und brachte das Schiff mit seinen Tanzeinlagen in Stimmung, einzige Kritik ist dass seine "Komplimente" bezüglich meiner jungen hübschen Freundin irgendwann etwas nervig wurden. Der Rest der Crew war insgesamt auch ganz nett, nur einer etwas in sich gekehrt. Doch der absolute Höhepunkt waren die zwei weiblichen Entertainer die recht gut aufgebretzelt ihr Handwerk verstanden. Zur Musik mit wippten, tanzten und die Leute an Bord in Stimmung brachten, mit Kindern oder auch Erwachsenen für Fotos posierten, die man entweder selbst machen konnte oder vor Beginn der Fahrt von der Crew schießen und für 15€ anschließend kaufen konnte. Eine der beiden Frauen turnte zur Mitte der Reise noch in der Luft an Bord am Reifen, was ebenfalls sehr eindrucksvoll war. Zwei Stopps mit Pulnudeln und Taucherbrillen an schönen Stellen waren auch sehr gut, dass Essen war auch genießbar, nur Vegetarier sollten sich schnell anstellen, da Nudeln irgendwann alle waren. Die Essensituation war so gut gelöst wie es für 120 Passagiere machbar ist und das Schiff fand ich auch nicht überfüllt, war genug Platz für jeden.

Fazit: Freundlich Crew die sich Mühe gibt, gute Stimmung verbreitet für groß und klein. Muss hinzufügen, ich glaube die Kinder waren besonders begeistert! Genügend Zeit zum Baden, Getränkepreise OK. Könnte aber in Anbetracht des Gesamtpreises auch billiger als 3€ sein. Dennoch ein Stern Abzug, da Kleidung der Crew mir zu wenig realitätsgetreu waren und insgesamt etwas zu wenig Piratenfeeling spürbar war. Ausgenommen sind die zwei Damen, da war alles in sich stimmig! Taucherbrillen etwas zu wenig sollte man selbst zur Sicherheit mitnehmen.Dauer nur 4 Stunden. Das Geld wars mir dennoch wert! Empfehlenswert...
