My sister and I went for 10 nights from 22 September 2025. The best thing about the hotel are the staff. We booked All Inclusive and had a Junior Executive Suite overlooking the pool (Room 307). There are just 32 rooms and the staff soon learned our room number when ordering drinks, lunch etc. (Other guests were there on a B & B basis). |Unfortunately, facing north, we never had any sunshine on our balcony in late September so did not use the sunbeds provided on the balcony at all. The pool was not far away though. Our room included a seating area (in addition to the balcony) and two TV's!|We noted that at least 5 couples asked to change rooms during our stay as some rooms were up or down several steps. Being built around the pool, facing different directions, the rooms were various shapes and sizes from what we could tell. The hotel is built on the hillside and there was a lift from reception to the pool area. Several rooms were accessible by ramps but there were several steps up to the restaurant which could not be avoided. The hotel seemed to be able to accommodate room change requests and staff were usually at hand to help those up and down the restaurant steps when necessary.|We were charged for our room safe at Euro 4 per day.|I had hoped to use the gym but this was disappointingly small and cramped with no floor space and only 1kg, 2kg, 3kg and 7kg free weights. The pool, however, was fairly empty with many guests choosing to go out during the day. The sun beds were very close together but there were enough for the number of guests who chose to stay in the hotel.|We received an invitation to see the manager after being there for 24 hours for an "information" meeting. We expected to be told about the hotel facilities etc. but it seemed to be more so we could give "feedback".|The overall appearance was a tiny bit tired but I it was the end of the season. (Our wash basin in the room never seemed to drain fully, paintwork was chipped, sun umbrellas had seen better days etc.).|Overall, however, we had a great time and have the friendly and helpful staff to...
Read moreI cannot recommend Katrin Suites highly enough – it was an absolute dream from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that we immediately felt at home. The staff go above and beyond in every possible way – always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything, whether it’s arranging transport, giving local tips, or simply ensuring you have everything you need to relax. The hotel itself was perfect and had everything we needed! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable - and thank you to the room service staff who were always lovely and friendly. Breakfast was a highlight every single day – fresh and full of variety. The omelettes and pancakes that were made fresh to order were delicious. What made it extra special was the service: Andi, Kostas and Lambros were truly amazing. Maria and Kostas on reception were so lovely and friendly. Maria is so helpful and always made us laugh. Stella was always really friendly and nice to talk to during the day at the pool bar. Zinon made our evenings by the pool bar truly special. He went above and beyond during our stay and was so attentive. Mr Konstantinos the hotel manager was great. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel truly valued – checking in personally to ensure everything was perfect, making us laugh and always being available with a friendly smile. You can see how much pride he takes in the hotel and the team. It’s rare to meet a manager who makes you feel less like a guest and more like a friend, but that was exactly our experience here.
What really makes Katrin Suites stand out, is the people. You don’t just feel like a guest here – you feel like part of the family. By the end of our stay, we were already planning our next visit. Thank you to everybody, we are missing you all already! From Karl, Lucy, Lizzie and John (The...
Read morePutting it simply in all honesty this is by far the very best small , friendly, adults only hotel we have EVER stayed at . We have stayed at many. Its location adjacent to a bus stop is brilliant, cheap modern regular bus service to many coastal locations, equally it is an easy walk to the beautiful sandy Stalis beach. There are no rocky outcrops just a gentle sloped entry to the crystal clear waters . There are many gift shops and bars and tavernas en route too. But back to the hotel .. the staff here do not treat you as customers they treat you as friends , they go out of their way to ensure they do whatever they can to enhance your stay . Rooms are varied and different but all are kept exceptionally clean by the lovely Leda and Katrin ( the chocolate lady!) . In the restaurant Irene ( telephone lady !) is ever helpful and cheerful as is Andy and Konstantinos. Zinon and Stella at the pool bar also keep us all cheerful and topped up too! Then of course the force of nature that is the very beautiful Maria is back after a while away and she is a true joy and such a positive person . Rania and Konstantinos ( Manager) are so helpful and will sort out any problems you may have . They truly care about both their hotel and their guests . At so many other hotels these days we guests become just a room number , here at Katrin all of the staff get to know you and welcome you throughout your stay . Truly nothing is too much trouble for them . This hotel is small , clean and quiet and relaxing and really is Simply the Best. We have yet again already booked for next year ! Efcharisto to our “Katrin Family” xx and to all of the people of Crete who also make us feel very welcome in these...
