Di Marino Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

After reading such inspiring reviews we expected to have lovely meal but were disappointed...

1.After taking an order Marino brang us fresh baked bread with olive paste. We didnt order it and though it is free from the restaurant, but we found this in the bill after.

We waited main course (including pizza 50(!!!) Minutes!! Pizza should be ready in 10 min maximum, not 50!! Marino decided to bring pizza together with pasta, not asked us what we want, and i was waiting , being hungry for 50 min.

He was cleaning the floor with mop and didnt wash his hands after and started to bring our plates!

Nothing about mentioned here compliments like limoncello or dessert

The pasta was mediocre, soup was not tasty and the only pizza was good but not worth waiting for 50 min.

So i cant rate this place as high as other visitors and...

We came to Di Marino for many years during our holidays. Our visit yesterday probably was the last visit for a long time. The food over all these years has been amazing. Our experience yesterday destroys our good experiences over the past years. Not because of the food but of the behavior of the waiter. He was very mysogynistic. Not only was he ignoring me (as a woman) while ordering (I placed our order). He looked all the time at my boyfriend as he should be the one to place the order. As we realized his behavior it was also me who paid for our visit.The waiter was very rude and making comments about me paying which we ignored. As a consequence we will not visit di Marino again. Loved this Italian restaurant which was near our hotel. We visited twice as there is so many choices on the menu and everything we tried was delicious and huge, the portions are so big and for the price you can not complain, they offer the best value for money. The cheesy garlic bread is so good, and very large!! First visit I had mushroom tortellini which was baked in the oven, it was gorgeous and hubby had a pasta dish, which was huge and he said it was delicious, can't remember the name of that one. Second visit I had the Caprese pasta and they gave me some warm bread with it, again delicious and hubby had the sirloin steak, which he said was so good.
