Yamas Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

DE (English below): Vorweg: ohne Grundkenntnisse in Englisch kommt man hier nicht weit! In unserem Urlaub sind wir zufällig auf die kleine familiengeführte Taverne gestoßen. Die Location mag auf den ersten Blick abschreckend wirken, aber der Besuch ist es absolut Wert. Die Bedienung erfolgt durch zwei Brüder deren Dynamik allein schon für viel Heiterkeit sorgt. Wer sich drauf einlässt erfährt hier unverfälscht die Griechische Gastfreundschaft und Freundliche Atmosphäre, über die immer so viel geredet wird. Die Preise für Getränke sind für Stalida EXTREM günstig. Bei unserem Besuch (Juni 2023) kostete kein Cocktail mehr als 6€, die Softdrinks lagen bei 2,50€, keine Selbstverständlichkeit hier. Qualitätsmäßig waren sie alle super, man darf nur kein Instagram-taugliches Kunstwerk erwarten. Das Essen haben wir nicht probiert, daher auch keine Bewertung. Für den Zeitvertreib gibt es zudem einen Billard-Tisch (2€ pro Spiel) und einen Kicker-Tisch. Einziges Manko: mücken sind da eine echte Plage, bringt euch also Moskitospray oder ähnliches mit. Alles in Allem kann ich wirklich nur zu einem Besuch raten, wenn man nach einem etwas ruhigeren Ort zum entspannten Drink-schlürfen sucht.

EN: We stumbled upon the little bar by accident on our second day in Stalida. It is run by a family, and the dynamic between the two brothers alone would make it worth a visit! The atmosphere really is something unique. The place is not crowded like other places here, while at the same time enough people stroll in to not make it feel abandoned. The drinks, especially the cocktails, are not only really good, they are cheap too! Haven't spent more than 6€ on a single one and that's really something when you compare it to other places here. A Billard (2€ per round) and a kicker table round up the experience for anyone who wanna enjoy a nice evening without spending too much. The only downside really is that the place seems to attract mosquitoes. So bring something with you against those...

We stayed in kyriaka apartment where the bar was closed at 8.30 or earlier. So we had to find a place to have drink came across the Yamas bar and was welcomed by the owner and his wife and his two sons.we where made to feel if we known them for years. The two boy where very good pool player we would have few games every night where it came as abit of a competition. This wonderful Taverna run by the most amazing family. The could not do enough to make us feel welcome and valued as a customer. The food there is lovely and made with the freshest of ingredients. If you want an English breakfast here is the place to go, it even has a proper English sausage. If your in Stalis I would definitely recommend you give this...
