I have been going to stalis now for several years an always went into Pegasus during the day for a drink an watch footie. However this is the first time I have stayed in the apts which are at the back of the bar. I was a bit worried about no pool as o love a swimming pool bit it didn't matter as the beach is literally right across the road. We were in apt 301 which was the last block so very quiet unbelievably as Pegasus is right on the main strip an there was no noise at all even from the bar. It was a studio type room was reasonable size seeing as we had 2 large suitcases. Adequate cooking facilities for making soup or things in one pot but again we ate out most of the time an we brought a small wire rack with us to make toast. Bathroom was good size and only on a couple of occasions there was no hot water not a problem as it was roasting so need to cool down. Plenty of sockets in room big enough balcony with some privacy. However people in the opposite block of apts upstairs could look directly into room so be mindful. Rooms cleaned by Anna regularly an towels changed (old towels so some of them were wearing thin). Bar is very cheap an good atmosphere there was no quiz or bingo bit we don't participate in this events anyway. Maria, Anna, George and not forgetting Dora are brilliant and to friendly. One regret is we didn't make it to the village mochos to their family restaurant. But it is on the list for our next visit. There is a room tax of 50cent per day an deposit box was reasonably priced. Breakfast is good however not on all day. Perfect location, near beach, near bus stop near bars and restaurants . Would I go back? The answer is Yes for definite. Looking to reboot for next...

The breakfast is always fresh and delicious and if you want a change from full English, the rolls are lovely and fresh and you can choose your filling. The rooms are spotlessly clean and we were lucky to get the front room above the bar where you can watch the world go by as the sun sets. There is a fridge kettle and enough crockery/cutlery to self cater but the food and restaurants around are so good and inexpensive, you won’t want to miss out by eating in. We will be returning in October if the current circumstances allow us to. Thanks to...
Read moreWe spend a day in Stalis every time we stay in Crete and always have a full English breakfast at this place. Lovely service and friendly staff and the place is spotlessly clean. On this visit we were asking about the apartments for a visit later in the year and the owner took us to look around, the place is lovely so we decided to book in for the night. The apartments are clean, spacious and well equipped and Maria and her staff are so friendly and helpful. The bar is popular with English and we were speaking to some of the other guests who have been going back year after year. We have booked for October and looking forward to staying in this lovely...
