Elaion Rooms & Apart — Hotel in Municipality of Elafonisos

Let us describe you in detail our experience with this so called "hotel".||||We arrived on Friday evening, really tired from the many hours driving. They welcomed us really warm and we felt very happy for their politeness and professionalism. The room was really artistic, big and with very nice view from the balcony.||The only flaw was that it did not show as very clean, but we chose to pass by this fact, as the rooms were quite old and the materials used inside (such as plaster) could easily show "tired" and dirty. ||||We went for dinner and we returned to sleep. I was waking up every ten minutes, feeling itchy, in different places of my body and even my face, and around 5 am my boyfriend woke up as well feeling as if something was walking on his face. We turned on the lights and we saw that the bed was full of very very small black insects in the size of a pinhead, which were running towards all directions. We realized that the bedsides were full as well, they were even on our cellphones, and they had the chance to get into our suitcases and allover on our clothes.||||After the shock and after taking a shower, because they were running all over us, face, body and hair (!!) we called the owner who apologized, and told us that he always brings someone for disinfection at the end of each season and that he would find out what's happening. After a little bit he informed us that he asked the old ladies of the island (!!) and they told him it was the humidity and the many rains of this year that caused this issue. He told us that he would resolve the issue immediately. We asked him to find us another hotel, which he did, and sent us there to check the room.||||The other room was really clean but not of the standards that we chose for our trip. There was no view, it was ground floor, and from the entrance and balcony you were in immediate contact with a parking lot and a building site. Not what we planned for our weekend! Also it was cheaply decorated, and could accommodate only the two of us, while the room we booked at "Elaion" could accommodate four (and we were expecting two friends to arrive, who in the end stayed elsewhere).||||We went back and told him that we really did not like the other hotel at all, he told us that of course he expected that, because it was not of the same standards, and he committed that he would resolve the problem. We were rest assured, and left for the beach. Late in the afternoon when we got back, we visited our room, and we realized that the problem was not resolved at all!! We informed him and his girlfriend, they inspected the room and agreed that the problem was there, but they did not know what else to do. So we were transferred to the other hotel. At that point he told us that the hotel belonged to his best man and asked us if we could tell booking.com that we never got to his hotel (Elaion), so he wouldn't have to pay the fees!! So after this whole issue, instead of facing the consequences, he would get an extra benefit of receiving the whole amount we paid, saving on the Booking fees!||||When we got to other hotel and parked in front of the room, we went to the reception to ask for the keys and we misheard the following dialogue:||||Receptionist: "Why did you bring them? We have already promised this room to another couple!"||||Owner of Elaion: " Don't worry, if they come, we will take them to my hotel, to the room these were staying" (the one with the insects!)||||We did not say anything, we unpacked, and later we met our friends for dinner, in a restaurant just down to the "Elaion" hotel. And yes, we saw that in our previous room, a new couple was staying there!!! ||||So the guy actually wanted to take advantage of the situation. We were transferred to the other hotel, he gave his vacant room to some clueless people, and on top he wanted to save on the fees of booking.com!!!||||After this disgusting experience strongly recommend everyone of avoiding this place. The first night we did not sleep at all and then we were moved to a much lower standards hotel, on the ground floor, without a view, without the possibility to accommodate our friends (who had to pay for another hotel) and away from the central road (at which we first booked the room). And we would not complain if we did not realize his unprofessional and mischievous manners!!||||Disciplinary measures should be taken by agents and tourists regarding this unprofessional owner, who is taking advantage...

In August we had booked a stay at this hotel, but when we arrived at the island the nightmare started. we went at the hotel in order to check in , leave our suitcases and go at the beach. when we arrived they told us that the room was still occupied by another couple so they hadn't tidy it up for us. they suggested to leave our things there at the "reception" and go at the beach, without having a chance to have a bath or change clothes properly in a room. anyway in vacation mood and in good will we trusted them and we left our belongings there in order to go at the beach and not miss a day there, just waiting for the room. in the evening when we went back from the beach the owner himself was there and told us that he didn't have a room. some tourists extended their visit and they were paying "good money" for the room, so he couldn't deny it!!!! he told us that he could find us another room in another hotel not as centrally located as ours but of the same quality. he asked us not to mention this at booking.com because he was going to declare us as non-shown there for various reasons he didn't explain to us. we told him that we had already paid for the room through booking.com using our credit card, and he told us that was ok and he already knew that and he had already informed the other hotel not to charge us. the next day when we wanted to check out, we called him in order to get the receipt of the room. After several phone calls that he rejected, he told us to go at the hotel and there his wife would give us the receipt. we went there but nobody was at the hotel. we only had a few minutes in order to embark at the ship, so we called him again to tell him that we were going to leave and if possible to send us the receipt. there he told us to wait for him because he wanted his payment for the room. when we reminded him that we had already paid for the room by credit card he refused everything and insisted on paying cash. he didn't let me go (literally he was holding my arm) unless i paid him cash. in order to avoid missing the boat my friend paid him cash as well. so we ended up in a different hotel than that we had booked, not as centrally located as the one we had booked, double paying for it. it was just a...

Επισκέφθηκα το Ξενοδοχείο τέλη Ιουνίου του 2018 για 3 διανυκτερέσεις μέσω booking.Με το που έφθασα στο νησί δεν δυσκολεύτηκα να το βρω καθώς έχει την καλύτερη τοποθεσία με θέα στο λιμάνι και στα παραλιακά καταστήματα.Εύκολη προσβασιμότητα ακόμη και με τα πόδια σε ελάχιστα λεπτά.Με το που φθάσαμε στο ξενοδοχείο μας υποδέχθηκε η κόρη του ιδιοκτήτη που ήταν πάρα πολύ ευγενική και μας εγκατέστησε στο δωμάτιο.Το δωμάτιο πάρα πολύ κομψό με ωραία αρχιτεκτονική και υπέροχη θέα από το μπαλκόνι στην θάλασσα.Με λίγη προσοχή παρατήρησα ότι το δωμάτιο δεν είχε την ανάλογη καθαριότητα και ότι ήταν λίγο πρόχειρα περιποιημένο.Το μπάνιο ήταν μέτριας καθαριότητας καθώς το χαλάκι του μπάνιου δεν ήταν και τόσο καθαρό.Η βρύση του μπάνιου ήταν γεμάτη πρασινάλατα(το νερό είχε γεύση αλατιού) χωρίς να είχε καθαριστεί και με ροή στο ζεστό νερό ελάχιστη κάτι που αντιλήφθηκα ύστερα από την επισκευή του ιδιοκτήτη καθώς θεώρησα ότι ήταν από την πίεση του νερού.Εστίασα σε ένα μαύρο στίγμα στο τοίχο του μπάνιου και διαπίστωσα πως ήταν ένα εξοντωμένο έντομο πιθανόν από προηγούμενο ένοικο.Το πάτωμα του δωματίου ήταν σχεδόν καλά καθορισμένο.Μεγάλο ελάττωμα μια δυσοσμία που είχαν το τρίτο μαξιλάρι μέσα στην ντουλάπα και ένα κουβερλί που ευτυχώς παρά τις καιρικές συνθήκες δεν χρειάστηκαν.Να επισημάνω επίσης ότι η τηλεόραση ενώ ήταν σε λειτουργία δεν λειτουργούσε το κοντρόλ ,Εφόσον επισκευάστηκε και αυτό το σήμα αυτής ήταν μέτριο με δυσκολία να δεις ένα ολόκληρο αγώνα μουντιάλ.Πέρα αυτών αρχίζουν τα παρατράγουδα.Το βράδυ της πρώτης διαμονής λόγω ισχυρής βροχόπτωσης στο δωμάτιο εισήλθαν νερά από την είσοδο του δωματίου καθώς επίσης και από το παράθυρο του δωματίου.Ξυπνώντας από την ισχυρή βροχόπτωση αντιλήφθηκα τα παραπάνω και άρχιζα να προσπαθώ με τις πετσέτες να στεγανοποιήσω το παράθυρο και την πόρτα.Εφόσον έβγαλα όλες τις συσκευές(tv,ψυγείο) από το πρίζα με κίνδυνο να μην γίνει τίποτε χειρότερο καθώς οι ασφάλειες έπεφταν κατευθύνθηκα έξω από το δωμάτιο για να κλείσω την έξω πόρτα του ξενοδοχείου.Εκεί συναντήθηκα με τον ιδιοκτήτη ο οποίος σε μία μικρή αποθηκούλα(ίσως και "reception" ύψους ενός μέτρου) κάτω από τις σκάλες έβγαλε την σφουγγαρίστρα (τότε αντιλήφθηκα πως είναι αυτός αφού μέχρι τότε δεν το είχα δει) ώστε να μαζέψει τα νερά.Πολύ ευγενικός κύριος και μετά από ολιγόλεπτη ομιλία μαζί του επέστρεψα στο δωμάτιο.Εκεί όμως αντιλήφθηκα το εξής.Στην αποθήκη αυτή ήταν κρεμασμένα όλα ΤΑ ΚΛΕΙΔΙΆ ΤΩΝ ΔΩΜΑΤΊΩΝ με κίνδυνο να μπει ο οποιοσδήποτε,οπουδήποτε όπως κάλλιστα και εγώ θα μπορούσα να έχω πρόσβαση στα δωμάτια χωρίς καμία δυσκολία.Τέλος να επισημάνω ότι το δωμάτιο μόνο πέρα από ηχομόνωση δεν θα μπορούσε να έχει καθώς κανονικές ομιλίες ενοίκων,περαστικών,υπαλλήλων εστίασης ακουγόντουσαν με ευκολία,το ίδιο επίσης και βήματα από το ξύλινο ταβάνι του πάνω δωματίου.Να επισημάνω ότι κατά την αποχώρηση μου από το ξενοδοχείο η συναλλαγή μόνο μέσω booking δεν έγινε.Να σχολιάσω επίσης ότι το ξενοδοχείο προφανώς δεν είχε το καθημερινό service αλλαγή σεντονιών πετσετών (πέρα ότι ζητήσαμε και μας δόθηκαν καινούργιες πετσέτες από αυτές που είχαν βραχεί) ,πέραν από ενός γρήγορου σφουγγαρίσματος που έκανε η μικρή κόρη του ιδιοκτήτη.Εν κατακλείδι να καταλήξω ότι πέραν της ευγενικής-όχι σωστής- εξυπηρέτησης ιδιοκτήτη και κόρης που δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι και διαφορετική και της υπέροχης τοποθεσίας ,αρχιτεκτονικής και διακόσμησης ενός παραμελημένου ξενοδοχείου δεν θα το πρότεινα σε έναν φίλο και ο μόνος λόγος που γίνεται αυτή η κριτική είναι για λόγους βελτίωσης και αποφυγή μια...
