What an amazing place! The young couple that owns this restaurant has put real heart and attention to detail into everything: from the relaxing atmosphere, the natural and classy furnishing materials, to the beautiful tableware. But the real strengths of this charming new restaurant are the exquisite menu (and very affordable too) and the hospitality that hits you the moment you walk in. Being vegetarian, I slightly struggled to find satisfying food besides the (undoubtedly good) Greek salad on the island. At Gazelle, the lady owner recommended the braised chickpeas... what an awakening sensation! I can honestly say that I have never eaten anything like it: totally delicious! But don't worry, the steakhouse will satisfy all meat lovers too, as it did for my family! The service was attentive and friendly but never overbearing. Lots of smiles and welcoming staff as only the lovely Greek people can offer. The restaurant is very new (only been open for a few weeks), and it deserves all the success it can get. Read moreTogether with my husband we had dinner at this restaurant for the first and LAST time., during our 7 days vacation on the island. The food was not that bad, however we found some nutshell in the salad and the dish of the day (lamb with tomato’s sauce) was not as expected (it was rather a stew). Bread & wine were delicious 😊 Now my poor score goes in the direction of the waiters: although it was not yet crowded, they brought us the menu quite late after we finished eating, we waited more than 10 min for someone to pick up the empty dishes / leftovers someone came only after we asked for the check they brought us the check and the dishes were still on the table we stayed couple of more minutes to finish our drinks and the empty dishes were still in front of us 😟 Now… you judge! If you decide to dine there, I wish you a better experience! Nevertheless, regardless the experience you’ll have at this restaurant, don’t forget...
Read moreYou are welcomed with smile in this steakhouse on the seaside area of the island in the middle of tens of restaurants. From outside it looks elegant but not snob. We ordered haloumi with apricot jam, zucchini chips with yoghurt sauce, beef burger patties that were super juicy, the spit roasted pork (delicious) and to conclude the baked Alaska as a dessert. All the food was really great and the service punctual. The position and the honest price (around 70 euro) makes Gazelle and must go place in Elafonisos. One improvement idea: be more quick in taking away empty dishes...
