The Kamari bay hotel is nice for a 2☆ hotel. We didnt have really any issues from the hotel itself but some of the guests where typical 'brits abroad' and where a bit loud coming in.
The rooms are clean and are cleaned most days (not Sunday). The toilet facilities are good and the shower is nice when you have been out all day.
In the mornings breakfast seems to follow a routine Day 1) toast and egg Day 2) roll and cheese Day 3) roll and meat.
All days have orange juice and tea/coffee.
Like the rest of Kefalos the hotel is generally very quiet with some nice staff, the older gentleman behind the desk as you go in was a great guy and helped out when we needed some support.
The only things to consider before you book would be
Aircon cost €6 a night (August 2018) but its well worth it !
Places to eat are all over the area in the bay but go down the local high street and you will get a better bargins... or the 'Goldern fleese' is worth a visit if you want to be very full !!!
There are pleanty of small supermarkets nearby which are reasonable for snacks, drinks ect.
I would be happy to stay here again.. but I might bring my...
Read morenot impressed at all. We know we booked a basic room but there is an expected standard. It is old and worn out and main areas are in need of repair. Shower head was broken. the lamps flicker when switched on, there are bear wires hanging out of the walls in lots of areas. Tiles around the pool are very uneven. Room cleaning is none existent apart from emptying the bins. no bed change or make up. Towels changed only once and then you have to put them in a bag and leave outside your room. Breakfast is very basic if they can be bothered to serve you at all. Breakfast meant to be served 8 till 10. We went down for breakfast at 9.45 and the waitress told us they were closed. The owner saw us walking out and told us to take a seat. He called the waitress over and they proceeded to have a full on argument in Greek whilst we sat at the table. Very unpleasant experience. Despite plenty of empty rooms had to pay 25 euro to keep the room on and 6 euro per day for the AC. This looks a cheap place but when they have done adding in all the charges it is not cheap. The staff except to Maria on the pool bar are very loud and rude often shouting to each other across the pool area. This is really bad when they are talking about a guest and as well as shouting start pointing them out. Only thing good about this place is the location everything is is poor standard and i am surprised jet 2 have this on...
Read moreThe cleanless of the Kamari was poor. We only had maid service for 2 days out of 7, which was a case of to change the towels which we requested. The accommodation could do with quite a lot of maintenance and a good tidy up. The door frame to the bathroom was half painted with tissue blocking a hole. Door knobs and sockets loose. Everything felt unclean. The pool area seem to be ok,I can't comment on the toilet facilities around the pool, didn't use.. The bar area was ok but require some maintenance. The toilets again in the reception area had tissue in key holes and frame. The breakfast is very basic. The dinning area had no air con which makes it very hummid and uncomfortable. The minimum staff are friendly. Our visit was for one week June 2019. Would I stay her again - sadly no and would...
