Writing a review mainly to share photos of the rooms as I found it hard to find pictures online when I booked this holiday. We travelled as a family, with grandparents and teenagers. We (4pers) were given room 24 which is the annex furthest back from the pool. These are very large apartments, a terrace at the front and balcony at the back which we didn't use as was north facing and a bit chilly in October. The living area had 2 single beds, dining table, dresser, and kitchenette. This room was massive and had a good size kitchen area. From reading other reviews that said the plates / bowls were few, I took my own plastic ones with me. Theres a kettle, toaster and 2 ring hot plate. The bathroom had a shower over bath so no soaking the entire room. Bedroom was another 2 single beds and large wardrobe. Theres Aircon in both rooms which we didn't need in October. |My parents were given room 16 which are in the original block overlooking the pool. These are a lot smaller, although it was a one bed apt for 4 , I think 4 ppl would struggle for space. The main living area, kitchen and bathroom were a lot smaller than the apartment we had. |Rooms were cleaned regularly, towels and beds changed often, and loo rolls every day which you don't always get in Greece. |The owners, George, Michael, and their mum were all lovely, they'll keep the bar open for you no matter how late you arrive. And they'll wave you off when it's time for leavin. |The area surrounding is all farm land which is lovely to look at but the cockerels just don't shut up! It's funny seeing chickens walking around the pool though!|If visiting Kardamena again I would definitely stay here, being 10-15 minutes out of town makes for a...
Read moreLast minute, decision to have a short break, half the price of the same four nights in Cornwall and temperture of mid 20's,no brainer!!!|Having stayed here a couple of years ago, I knew that Nikos 2, though being fairly basic, are clean and provide a friendly environment to relax in. The welcome from Michael and George is extremely hospitable.Situated on the main road into Kardamena, it's a short stroll in 5 mins to the resort outskirts, under 15 mins to the centre.|When I stayed before, I had a Studio, this time it was a small Apartment but the room was more than ample, I slept well(light sleepers may hear some traffic noise and the boisterous cockerel)not a problem for me.The kitchen area was just a sink, plug-in cooking rings, kettle but was enough to get by, personally I don't use these facilities. My only moan would be that the bathroom was tiny, I'm not so it was a bit of a squeeze. There was plenty of hot water from the solar powered water system, could be tepid early on or later in the day.Maids serviced eveyday, towels changed once a week. There are charges for the air-conditioning,55 euros and safety deposit box,10 euros per week.|The pool area is kept clean and has sufficient sunbeds with a bar providing snacks and drinks, all at prices in line with the area.|All in all I enjoyed a totally relaxing autumn break and with the excellent hosts, always happy to assist and accommodate their customers, I'm sure I'll...
Read moreFirst 10 days of our girls trip to Greece, Jane, Floss and myself on our late arrival, were greeted by Michael, such a beautiful soul, who gave us a thorough and friendly orientation. Next morning we met George, best host and all round nice guy, his beautiful Mum Coco and chef Philop at the bar/cafe and amazing pool area, just the place to chill and recover from our big journey from Australia. Nikos 2 is only a short walk to the beachfront bars, restaurants, shops and water activities, if you prefer a bit more action. We had a wonderful stay and have much respect for this Family operated business, who went above and beyond to enhance our stay. Some of the mainly English guests in our extended group, have been holidaying with George each year for 20 years or more. We three are also from a Tourism Island just off the coast of North Queensland Australia and gifted George a beautiful painting for his bar, the work, by a local artist, is of a Winter sunset at our home village of Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island. Hope to see you again, maybe on our shores, we would be more than happy to host you and your Family on our Island Paradise on the other side of the World, much...
