In brief, we had an amazing holiday at this hotel and have come away relaxed and happy with great memories.||Perfect if you are looking for a place to completely switch off for a week or two, eat good food, and take it slow in the evening, with brilliant customer service.||You may feel let down if you have paid a high price and are expecting a premium hotel, or if you like good evening entertainment and activities.||//||We stayed in a swim-up side sea view room. I highly recommend this. Our room (42) came with its own designated sunbed, which is fantastic and meant we didn't have to worry once about having a place to sit and enjoy the amazing views the hotel offers. We loved our pool, which was always clean, a great temperature, and a quiet space. Not a single issue in our whole 11-day stay. The terrace of our side sea view room was lovely and private, but I noticed the ones on the sea view swim-up rooms didn't seem quite as spacious and had low walls, so they were less private.||The room itself, I felt a bit disappointed with. It feels like the section of the hotel we were in was once an old part of the hotel that has had a bit of a makeover, but not enough to feel like I was in a premium luxury hotel. The corridor in particular felt really shabby, as well as an old mini-fridge and wardrobe. (The mini-fridge was only topped up with water.) There is also no separate bathroom; the toilet, shower, and sink are integrated into the room, which we didn't like. It is separated by a small partition, which made it a bit too close for comfort. The rest of the hotel and shared spaces had a much more premium feel.||Also, no service to the rooms apart from soft drinks every few hours was a shame. We had to walk a fair bit to either bar for snacks or alcoholic drinks. Snacks included small sandwiches, crepes or waffles, small cakes, and crisps, which felt a bit low on choice and quality compared to other hotels and devalued the 'all-inclusive' aspect slightly. However, as I will mention below, this is more than made up for elsewhere.|||The buffet area is a different story altogether. It was a pleasure being there and felt like a really premium space. The service is fantastic, it's easy to get a drink, and great staff clearly work hard and enjoy working there. The food was just amazing every day, and we couldn't wait to eat there.||All three restaurants are really top-class; the location overlooking the water and the food was the best part. Go around 7 p.m. in the summer to catch the sunsets. No issues booking at all. ||The downsides to the restaurants were that we could only book 3 times on our 11 day stay, the same amount as someone who was staying a 7 day stay, which felt a bit unfair and like we should have had a couple more visits.||Also, despite us already knowing when we booked the trip, having to buy wine at the restaurants at an all-inclusive hotel is quite frustrating, considering the price we already paid.||Customer service was absolutely brilliant and one of the best parts of the hotel. We had a couple of questions that we used the WhatsApp for, and messages were answered and adaptations made to our booking with no fuss. The app is also great and up-to-date.||The beach is really close and great for snorkeling. It was so close for us that we didn't feel we needed to go down and pay for a bed. Maybe be mindful that it isn't a very relaxing beach. It's busy with families. Rock shoes are a must!||The biggest disappointment for us was the evening entertainment. The lights were very minimal, so performers were just singing/dancing in the dark, which made it really hard to cultivate an atmosphere. Yet the acts they put on are DJs and party acts, so it clashes and feels so awkward. Also, trying to get a drink in the evening can be very frustrating. There is no bar service, so it's two people running around doing table service, and it can take a very long time. You feel rude waving and trying to get their attention when they are rushing around to so many people. It made it hard to relax in the evening, and everyone just ended up bringing their own entertainment, such as board games, etc.||The spa left a bit to be desired. The massage was great and the staff lovely, but the spa itself was very small. Just a sauna and a steam room, which didn't work, and an ice sink.||The Wi-Fi was really spotty where we were, which was frustrating when trying to listen to music and not wanting to pay for roaming.||We played padel, which we really enjoyed, and the facilities were great. They don't really advertise it too much, and I think they could host some tournaments, etc.||To conclude, if you just want to switch off for a week completely, I would really recommend this place. It is fantastic and does the basics of good customer service, etc correctly, but it just lacks the elements to take it to the next level. I feel we slightly overpaid for what we experienced. If it developed the entertainment and evening experience away from the restaurants, made drinks/snacks easier to order to the room, and had a wider range of snacks and food away from the meal spaces, it would be a...

over 100 flies dancing on your food....

Not forgetting the food isn't heated at a safe temp....safe ? talk about raw meat...oh not forgetting if your a vedggy, good luck, It limited.

This hotel is not safe for family and pregnant ladies. Due to basic need are not meet.

You are welcome to a stunning reception , with even Marble bathroom , pure class....so we thought.

It started with our room being dark, (with dim lighting, as we arrive at night...we couldn't hardly see anything) unknowing what horrid trap we would get our self into, we sleep in the bed...feeling itchy ALL NIGHT...woke up with rash ( the whole family , even myself 6 month preg) check our room in natural light, it was like I wanted to cry. cover in small rash, we found much dirt everywhere, nothing was clean or what 5* should be... It was more like 2*. We took picture of some of our finding,....(I should have to a picture of my socks when it drop beside the bed, Covered in dust...hum 90% of other human skin....BIN TIME!!! Hoping and praying they clean the room ...they only clean it 2 time only after i called them on the phone (thought we was there for 7 days)I said it still dirty , Told the I have picture, I need to see the Manager....The staff said the Manager was to busy dealing with important things to deal with us....

...I even ask for an appointment, as our rash got worse, and we need to change room,...they didn't care,.we next was told the next day manager gone out,

I cried to my husband My skin is now getting more worse, and wasn't sure if it was bad reaction to the food too, as I was given raw food , and we had to stop eatting their food, as we soon saw little happy flies dancing on the food , there there was different heat point in it. As we are a family, and i'm preg, it was not safe for us at all!

The hotel wont help so we decided to get a rented car , But their staff didn't do their job correctly and didn't write down what we requested sat Nav and child seat....We didn't get it!...they blame it on the car company....thought how the car company gonna know if it not written down??? They wont take responsiblity

It the hotel issue as they didn't do their job correctly, We took the car anyway, as we didn't wanna stay in this dirty room...Also it so back dated the bar at the top and the game room, was a joke,....What game? one pool table, and 4 kids games...hell yer I wanna run away...the hotel is boring for the entertainment area.

We also complain about the car as well, they said We shouldn't take it, how rude .

and stay at their horrid hotel? noway, we wanted to eat outside where it safer and our rash calm down when we are our of the bedroom. We said would you refund us a day for messing up the car, if we refuse...the said NO... hypocrite

The hotel is hellish don't go, maybe go to Asia, like the W hotel....it 4 * but Amazing and safe, and have welcoming management and staff (it more like 10* :) )

They lie in there paper add, saying they are 5* , they also no inclusive!

I had to fight to get water in the mini bar! yes water, I was in pain and need to drink a lot.(they only give one bottle of water every other days even though your preg and have kids. I was horrifide I was starve of basic need for any animal. Also after 11am they charge for drinks, But they charge for drinks anyway, I wanted fresh orange juice, which was not inclusive. only thing that was is coffee, tea, beer, ice cream, unhealthy things. other wise you have to pay for EVERYTHING...

The whole family was sick and stressed at the hotel!

We was all disappointed in how we was treated worse then dogs, in a dirty room got no one to clean it correctly, or offer to change it. No caring staff or manager. We was talked to like scum by the staff too made it worse, Saying Their nothing they can do and be little us. I would take a pic of myself of what we all catch when we slept on the bed, but It so upsetting I don't have the will power to do it as it upsetting. I put other photo up and hope it you guys don't make the...

This is a beautiful peaceful hotel, the views are literally stunning - each morning I would leave our room and be surprised once again by how wonderful the sea and landscape look.||Our room was a Sea View Sharing Pool. The terrace and pool are neat and clean, and the view once again incredible. Luckily we had great neighbours but the layout is fine even if you want to keep yourself to yourself. The room itself is modern and clean, though let down by inconsiderate bathroom design - the sinks are in an open area against the headboard, and the toilet/shower are behind hanging frosted glass doors with large gaps and no locks. If you prefer any sense of privacy in the bathroom, this room is not for you.||Restaurant food and service is top-notch. All staff are polite and friendly, and we didn't have any real delays getting whatever we wanted. The buffet food is above average and has a good range, with fresh (delicious) pizza served constantly. We tried two a la carte dinners (Umi and Oceano) and both were outstanding. Although you won't get any AI wine with your meal the paid-for local wine was excellent and reasonably priced.||Common areas are generally good but showing some signs of tiredness (crumbling concrete at the pool, green algae around spa pool, regular drain smell throughout resort). The main bar open in evening is comfortable and smart, and the staff are good (particularly always-smiling Tymur). The pool bars are friendly and have a good selection of AI drinks and snacks. There is a severe lack of shade at pools, and none at all at the sharing pool terrace. Since I am graced with ginger skin I burn easily and do not enjoy sitting in full sun (even in October). This meant that if I was not lucky enough to get one of the six pool beds with shade, I would be sat in my room for most of the day. Some guests took matters into their own hands and constructed hanging tents with towels and pegs. This looks poor for the hotel image and I'm surprised that management don't take the hint and provide proper shade options.||Apart from the shade problem, the main negative I felt was the multiple silly rules which just alienate the guests:|The app says "All guests staying for 7 nights can book 3 a la carte restaurants". On arrival we were told that only applies if you don't book via Expedia or Hotels.com. We therefore got only two bookings, leaving us feeling less valued for no particular reason.|The day after our arrival was a birthday and anniversary celebration. I emailed in advance to book Umi, and was told it's not possible - I need to do it on arrival. Of course on arrival there were no bookings available by then. (They did eventually allow me to book in advance).|There is only instant coffee in the rooms. At breakfast you can order any kind of coffee, but it must be consumed in the restaurant. There is no room service, so the only other option for coffee is the pool bars (which do not open until 10:30). In summary you cannot get a decent coffee in the morning to relax in your room. I mentioned this to staff and they kindly provided a coffee machine in our room. Issue fixed, but frustration of silly rules could have been avoided.|Upon arrival we were asked to pay for our stay up front (despite this being a card-secured booking). The night before departure we got a note pushed under our door saying that we had outstanding spa and wine charges and we should pay immediately. I do not understand why this was not dealt with at check-out, like any other hotel I've used, and the payment demands just made our stay experience feel a bit cheap.||In summary I would say that we did enjoy our holiday, though a few matters took the shine off our experience. It could easily have been a five star review if it were not for some policies and rules. Having said that I would not return simply because there is not enough shade to...

Thank you to Seaside for the best holiday my Fiancée and I have ever had. We stayed in room 45 that was a swim up room with a sea view and it was absolutely stunning. From the room we had a view of the sea which is a crystal clear emerald and the cliffs. Just outside the room was a shared balcony area with a shared infinity pool overlooking the beach and the pictures the hotel use are not edited or made to seem better than they actually are. What you see is genuinely what you get. There are 3 a la carte restaurants on site and I would recommend booking these on the day of arrival for your best chance to visit all 3, and they are all worth a visit. The customer relations staff were brilliant in getting us booked in for these, we had to go on a waiting list for Umi but managed to get in the same day. We were planning on heading into Heraklion for a couple of nights rather than eating at the buffet restaurant but after our first time eating there decided it wasn't worth heading out! The food at the buffet in my opinion was restaurant standard and there was a huge variety. Even though it was self serve the restaurant still presented each dish very nicely. The desserts here are also incredible and so photogenic. We had a couples massage whilst we were here and the masseuses were brilliant , the massages are on the expensive side however I would expect this at a 5* resort and you get what you pay for here. We were unsure whether to get our first massage but after experiencing that decided to book back in for another before we flew home. We did make use of the on-site gym which has enough things to get by but not loads of equipment etc. We also attended a yoga session which was really nice and relaxing and the yoga instructor was friendly and patient. There is also a padel court and tennis court free to book, we played a bit of padel one of the evenings which was great. All in all the views are the huge selling point of this resort and we would come back purely for that reason, however the food and facilities are truly top tier as well. The final cherry on top is that the staff here are truly wonderful and really make this hotel what it is. There are so many staff members we would love to name as they deserve recognition but unfortunately we have forgotten a lot of the names; however special mention to Giorgios who went out of his way to help and speak to us; the night staff Leonidas who showed us around once we arrived and really set the standard for the staff, Mario at the bars and the girls at Pelagos pool bar. The maid service here is also amazing and they are so friendly, always have a huge smile on their face! Whilst not necessary due to the staff knowing multiple languages, I would really recommend learning some small Greek phrases, it really puts a smile on the staffs face and we are visiting their country after all! Absolutely superb holiday and we can't wait to visit again!

A very beautiful hotel with stunning sea views, even in rooms that are described as having a 'limited sea view'. Our room was fine, although would have benefited from a toilet door that locked to maintain some of the romance and mystique on our honeymoon. The cleaners came earlier than any hotel I've been to - it seemed like they spotted us going out to breakfast and then went straight to our room. Brilliant! The only downside was the air conditioning, which was never powerful enough for the room to be truly comfortable. We did raise this with reception and someone from maintenance came round, which did improve things but it still wasn't cool enough. There were plenty of sunbeds, but still the old problem of people reserving them and disappearing for the day. This meant that we often struggled to get a bed in a preferred location/with a good amount of shade (which you'll probably want in that beautiful Cretan sunshine!). The lack of shade is particularly bad because the umbrellas are woven, to help withstand the wind. If they were portable, rather than being fixed to the beds, this would have helped. The all-inclusive menu was very varied, with many delicious salads and grilled meats every day. The menu did get a bit repetitive by the end of our week, but I didn't find myself craving vegetables like I would at a cheaper hotel. It was very easy to get healthy, tasty food here. There was an outdoor oven providing pizza at every meal (even breakfast!). Unfortunately the quality of the pizzas varied, with them often being slightly overdone... The a la carte restaurants were a holiday highlight for us. A lovely change from the buffet meals, apart from the alcohol being an extra charge. The staff at these restaurants were particularly friendly, but the staff throughout the entire hotel were lovely and worked tirelessly to look after everyone. The all-inclusive drinks menu was extensive, though the 'cocktails' were a single spirit with a mixer. There were some premium cocktails, but these cost extra. The pool bars had biscuits, crisps, sandwiches and fruit we could help ourselves to throughout the day. On reflection, our biggest letdown of the hotel was the lack of special treat for our honeymoon, having read reviews from previous honeymooners. We got a 'congratulations' from reception when we arrived, but nothing after that. Perhaps they get too many honeymooners to do something special for all of them! A lovely hotel in a beautiful location (bring a snorkel and water shoes!). We probably won't come back, but we had a wonderful time!

We stayed four nights at Seaside A Lifestyle Resort and absolutely loved it. This adults-only, all-inclusive hotel delivered exactly what we needed—peace, relaxation, and great food. The property has two beautiful pools and lots of amenities, and we were especially glad for the no-kids policy. Major plus. The hotel itself is stunning. The views from nearly every angle—whether it was the mountains, the sea, or the sunset—were absolutely breathtaking. The architecture and design throughout the resort were modern, elegant, and so aesthetically pleasing. It just felt good to be there. Every corner of the property was well thought out and picture-worthy without feeling overdone. We stayed in a side sea view suite and were surprised by how spacious and comfortable it was—the photos really don’t do it justice. Plenty of room for two people, with a gorgeous sunset view from our balcony. The buffet exceeded expectations. This was not your typical all-inclusive experience. Everything was fresh, hot, and constantly replenished by chefs cooking right at the stations. Tons of options, including local dishes, and everything was super accommodating for different diets—we saw plenty of vegan and gluten-free selections. We never got bored of the food and always found something we genuinely wanted to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The upper pool was our go-to since it was a bit quieter, but both pools had a relaxed vibe. If you’re looking for a change of scenery, it’s easy to walk down to the beach from the hotel path. There’s even an elevator that takes you down to the ground level so you can enjoy a dip in the sea. The drinks included with the stay were great—plenty of options and everything we tried was delicious. The staff was amazing across the board. Every question or request we had was met with kindness and helpfulness. One windy night, our bathing suit flew off the balcony and got stuck in the bushes two stories below, and the staff went out of their way to retrieve it for us. Just above-and-beyond service. There were also evening entertainment options (we caught a Ricky Martin-style cover band!), though we usually headed to bed early after long days in the sun. For anyone wanting to stay active, there’s a full sports complex with tennis courts, pickleball (we think!), and a beautiful yoga studio. We usually plan lots of excursions when visiting Greece, but this time we just wanted to relax—and Seaside totally delivered. Next time we’re in northern Crete, we’ll definitely stay here again.
