Blue Horizon Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Milopotamos

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday to this wonderful hotel. Conveniently located to local shops and supermarkets, bars, tavernas and restaurants, with an on site supermarket attached, you couldn't ask for anything more. The rooms are clean, fabulous showers and bathrooms, comfortable beds and pillows, free air conditioning in the rooms, you could not ask for more. The owners Theo and Angela are so warm, welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, they made us feel like part of the family, so much so we were invited to their daughters birthday party, we were so honoured to be staying here. The onsite shop is run by Theo's cousin Georgia, a lovely lady, and they sell beautiful olive wood items and cotton towels, I recommend these as gifts, plus the basics such as bread, milk, water, cigarettes etc... the rooms are serviced daily by the friendly staff, clean, soft fluffy towels, crisp bed sheets, what more could you want? The cooking facilities are hob, microwave, kettle, no toaster but I guess that saves them having to sort out smoke alarms every 5 minutes. If you are a keen cook pack the following: sharp knife, spatula, wooden spoon, but other than that you are sorted. The reception and pool bar open around 9am, if you are an early rider, take your own tea/coffee but their Greek coffee is to die for, as is their icecream made from sheep milk, so heavenly, I recommend the yoghurt and strawberry one. Theo and Angela will help you in any way they can, don't be shy, just ask, they work so hard in such heat, but would rather you asked than didn't. The pool area is well equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, the pool is smallish but clean, with a separate kids pool, and a kids play area if you need this. There are 3 beaches within easy reach, one is 5 mins walk, the 2nd 10mins walk, the 3rd about 20 mins walk, but is easily accessible by the little Choo Choo train which stops outside. The hotel pool bar offers good snacks and salads, I recommend the omelettes and Angela's burgers, divine, and great hot dogs. Locally there are many great restaurants bars, this is perfect for couples and families looking for a good, quiet destination, we will come back again. I would suggest sleeping with your balcony door closed and the air conditioning on, only because the local sheep/goats wear bells and the cockerel crowing which has nothing to do with the hotel but that's rural Greece for you, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, an...

We have stayed at Blue Horizon four times now, we love it here. Rooms are modern and very clean with an exceptional maid service. This family run apartments are superbly hosted by Theo & Angela. This year for the first time they have included breakfast with the room rate. The breakfast offering is so good, huge selection, something for everyone. Continental breakfast, cold meats & cheeses. Yogurt, cereal, grains and honey. Breads and an English breakfast, fried egg, bacon, beans, sausages, sautéed potatoes with omelettes and scrambled eggs as an option. Choice of fruit juices or tea & coffee to accompany. I Didn’t think they could improve on our previous experiences of staying here, but they have!! The snack bar also offers a lovely range of snacks and refreshments throughout the day. |Blue Horizon is in a superb location just back from the middle beach, with great access to the harbour and Livadi beach. It’s literally the perfect location to access all the beaches, tavernas & bars. We have stayed in three different hotels / apartments in Bali over the past nine years. У нас есть большое желание вернуться сюда при первой возможности.||Мы бронировали номер на 2 взрослых и ребенка, которому исполнилось три года в середине отдыха. Владельцы не смотря на правила о том, что дети от 3 лет размещаются платно, взяли оплату только за взрослых. И хотя мы бронировали номер без дополнительной кровати по приезду заботливо предоставили нам улучшеный номер с дополнительной кроватью. Было очень приятно. ||А в день отъезда нам предложили отдыхать возле бассейна и пользоваться всем необходимым до отъезда без каких-либо доплат. ||В номере есть холодильник, плита, кофемашина, чайник, фен, кастрюля, сковорода, посуда и столовые приборы по количеству гостей. Уборка номера ежедневная. Раз в два дня меняют постельное белье и полотенца (вне зависимости от того положили вы полотенца на пол или нет их всё равно забирают и обновляют), добавляют бумагу, мыло и шампунь по мере необходимости без необходимости просить. ||В один из дней у нас перестал работать слив в туалете должным образом, в тот же день проблема была устранена пока мы отдыхали на пляже.||Хорошая звукоизоляция. Рядом с нами жила семья с ребенком. Мы ни разу за 9 дней их не слышали. ||Большой балкон с видом на бассейн и столиком, где можно провести спокойное время перед сном.||Бассейн чистый, хорошо прогревается. Есть детская зона. ||На территории отеля есть лестница, но если обойти здание, то можно пройти к номерам на втором уровне без нее (до нас это дошло только на 8 день отдыха😁). ||Никаких шумных вечеринок, дискотек не слышно в номере. ||Есть возможность покушать в кафе при отеле. Панкейки с мёдом/нутеллой/фруктами, мороженное, английский завтрак, есть разные бургеры, пицца. Еда в соотношении цена/качество - хорошая. Фото вафель и меню прилагаю. ||До ближайшего пляжа с чистым песком в тихой бухте пешком 4 минуты. Дорога к пляжу не гористая, без ступеней. ||Пляж идеальный для купания с ребёнком: достаточно мелководья, волн практически не было. ||До второго пляжа (где можно покататься на водном транспорте) пешком 8 минут (сначала вверх по дороге, затем вниз по длинной лестнице, но можно было обойти дольше и без лестницы по улице). ||Чистые пляжи, каждый день убирают. Сет из двух шезлонгов и зонта варьируется по стоимости от 10 до 20 € (без депозита). За один шезлонг и зонт - 6 евро. ||Посёлок достаточно оживлённый, много минимаркетов. Сложно найти свежее мясо или рыбу Много возможностей аренды авто, квадроцикла, яхты, катамарана, байдарки. ||Вокруг горы. ||Посёлок гористый, но маленький поэтому всё очень компактно.||Трансфер от аэропорта Ираклион до отеля 70 €. Мы заказывали трансфер с помощью владельцев отеля. ||Мы отдыхали в начале сезона и были очень удивлены, что в отеле не много людей. Потому что в нем есть все необходимое для отличного отдыха.
