Phanari — Restaurant in Municipality of Milopotamos

A peaceful oasis between two roads. A pleasant place to eat well and enjoy the atmosphere and Cretan hospitality. Cushions on the chairs: definitely a plus 👍👍

And that food! ❤️ I went often and every time I enjoyed immensely! I often replaced the potato with salad, the portions were just the right size for me that way. Everything was good, most of it really delicious, but I would like to mention a few in particular: Octopus brought me to tears with its deliciousness. The house salad was amazing! The lamb skewer was tender and tasty. Wine leaf rolls so full of Greek flavors. Mythos was cold and the house wines (tasted red and rosé) were soft and just right kind for eating. Tsatsiki was the best in town, as well as raki - so smooth that even such a sworn raki avoider took another glass: Jamas!

And that service! ❤️ As friendly and hospitable as the Cretans are, nowhere else have I felt so welcome and taken care of. If I ever come back to Panormos, I will come because of this place.

We have been going to Panormo on holiday for many years, every time we try to go to all our favorite restaurants. Fanari was our favorite this year, excellent food, large portions, pleasant service. But I have one complaint...I didn't like how the owner chased the little cat away from the restaurant, he even forbade the guests to feed it:-(. Cats just belong in a Greek restaurant! Basically, I can't imagine visiting a Greek tavern without a cat. So when we come to Panormo next year and I don't see a cat sitting in your taverna, we will go somewhere else. A cat simply belongs to a Greek taverna like fish...

Just been there for a meal .special pizza on photo contained peppers .the one that arrived at our table didn't. The green salad contained olives the size of raisins .when we asked for bill we were charged for 2 portions of bread that had been put on our table .We didn't order this or eat it .when we questioned owner he didn't even now that we hadn't eaten it .I said we didn't order and we didn't eat it . His quite rude reply was you drank the raki .which is a complimentary drink .I paid up and as we left another customer snorted at me like a pig. Needless to say we won't be visiting...
