I worked as a lifeguard in paradise beach so maybe this review has a little bit more relevance than a lot of reviews that i saw from previous people. Paradise beach is a beautiful beach with crystal clear water and small pebbles at 90% of the coast line. Most of its beauty is underwater so bring your snorkel and mask. Many different kind of small and big fish, octopus, starfish, sea urchins, crabs, eel, turtle living there or passing by can be seen. Before the reef you can walk at the biggest part of the ocean with some deeper areas near the right side of the lifeguards tower. No reef at the left side of lifeguards tower near the diving boat so you can swim without having to walk on top of the reef. I don’t recommend to walk or sit on top of the reef for 2 reasons. You can loose your balance and hit or cut yourself at some areas that are sharp or you can touch sea anemones and get a skin rash and it will be stingy and burn on the affected area and you can do nothing about it except rinse with sea water, dry, use fenistl and wait for a day or two for the skin rash to disappear. Bites from fish are not dangerous and can happen if you are standing still or you have a wound. After all its free fish spa, its their home and if you dont like it there are numerous of pools you can visit. There is a diving school worth visiting. There is a watersport service worth visiting. There is a taxi boat taking you to different beaches worth taking. There are two/four beach bars you can choose to stay providing excellent service with a cost that i am not aware of, so ask them for more details so you will not get surprised. For some the cost is big, for some its cheap, according to each individuals wallet. But visiting one of the most popular beaches in Mykonos ,the most touristy island with Santorini in Greece, expecting to pay 20€ for a sun bed, i am sorry but you dont understand basic supply and demand law and you live in an utopia. But i have very good news for you, there are many remote beaches in Mykonos and also many islands in Greece you can choose from for your vacations, rocky, sandy, with or without trees, with or without people, big, small, nudist or not you name it. Mykonos is the island of the winds, be careful with your air beds and the gusts, you can end up in Naxos or Paros islands at the best case scenario. Thats why i didnt allow them in most cases after the reef. Music from beach bars start at around 16:30 No one can stop you from entering the beach with your food or water or drink at the free areas but for obvious reasons not inside their properties. But i saw many people trying to buy drinks from one beach bar, or have drinks in their bags and go to the other and party and employees where there explained to them the obvious. If you don’t like the party atmosphere after 16:30 leave earlier. If you like it, its the best place to be. But going to a party beach and complain about it its like going to tomorrow land and say the music is not good because its not rock, it doesnt make sense. Dont try to play the big guy or disrespect or get advantage of a situation or drunk people and mess around. You will regret it. Keep the beach clean, collect your trash, dont throw cigarettes inside the sand. Use common sense. Keep environment clean and safe for others to enjoy. Ask the lifeguards about the beaches and if something is dangerous and you need to pay attention to every time you visit a beach with a lifeguard. Big thanks to all people who visited my country and my beach, Italy 🤌, Spain, Portugal, France, UK, The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, Turkey, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Cyprus, Egypt, UAE, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, India, Thailand...
Read moreParadise Beach in Greece truly lives up to its name. The setting is nothing short of stunning, with clear turquoise waters that stretch out into the horizon. The beach itself is clean and well-maintained, providing a refreshing and tranquil atmosphere for visitors. The vibrant views of the surrounding landscape add to the beauty, making it the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the sun. Whether you're lounging by the water or exploring the shoreline, the environment feels like a true escape from the everyday.
One of the best features of Paradise Beach is its convenience. There's a bar just a short walk away, offering a variety of refreshments and snacks for those who want to enjoy a drink or a bite without leaving the beach. The amenities are basic but sufficient, with clean facilities that ensure your comfort throughout the day.
For those interested in snorkeling, while the marine life isn't overwhelming, you can still spot some small gray fish if you bring your own snorkeling gear. It's a simple pleasure but adds a touch of adventure for those who want to explore under the surface. The water's clarity makes it easy to see the fish swimming beneath you, making it a great spot for casual snorkelers.
On the downside, the beach is packed with sunbeds, leaving very little open space for walking or other activities. If you're looking to take a leisurely stroll along the shore or play beach games, the crowded setup may be a bit disappointing. The focus seems to be on lounging rather than active beach fun, so if you're hoping for more than just sunbathing, you might need to look elsewhere. Still, despite the limited space, Paradise Beach remains a beautiful and serene destination that's...
Read moreOne of my 2 highlights of my trip to Mykonos was my 2 hour visit to the private Paradise Beach. The beach wad founded by hippies in the 60’s and continues to be a hotspot for partying. Happy Hour is from opening till the mid-afternoon: 2-for-1 drinks. The drinks were good and refreshing.
Why pay 60 EUR for a beach chaise and umbrella when you can sit at the VIP bar area and just pay for happy hour drinks? Thank you, George (our tour guide!) Great idea. Paradise resort also has a separate food area: Excellent hand-made pizza! The BLT with fries were also good.
Again, swimming in the Aegean Sea was on my bucket list. Check! The waters were perfect. Because Paradise Beach is situated in a bay, the waves were calm. I wish we could spend more time here. I enjoyed the convenience of good food, drinks, bathrooms (aka changing room) and large shade.
The infamous highlight of the day was when the ladies on our tour noticed a man going completely naked and applying sunscreen all over, and in places where the sun don’t shine! When I asked about the “nudist”, they described him as an 80 year old man. Boy, I am glad I didn’t see him, or else I wouldn’t be able to unsee him. Someone should've told him the nudist beach is one next door, not Paradise Beach. Welcome to Greece.
Party Party Atmosphere. I can imagine this place rockin’ at nights. The sound and lighting are amazing. The concrete tables and booths in the VIP area are perfect for dancing and partying away. Next time Mykonos. ...
