CheckPoint Mykonos — Restaurant in Municipality of Mykonos

I got a loaded chicken Gyro and it was actually alright. There was enough of everything, the veggies were fresh and the chips were hot. The chicken had a sauce on top I could only relate to big mac sauce. It was unique but went quite well with the flavours. The chicken meat was a bit dodgy for me cause it had like grizzle in a few bits and some fat but I am very picky with my meat and I ate most of it. It didn’t look like the other photos of gyros in these reviews. The atmosphere was a bit sus as it was almost entirely non sober men sitting eating and a few raggedy cats though it was safe and quite quiet though i did go at like 11pm on a Saturday. I have had nothing short of a fantastic experience at this restaurant. Dimitri is a wonderful guy, who will help you with any travel questions you might have for the island and others in the Cyclades. The food is great and the service is quick. The restaurant and washrooms are kept super clean. If you really love the cats that hang around they will often give you some food to feed them which I also thought was very sweet as there are a lot of stray cats on the island. 10 out of 10...

The guys at this place are very friendly and the owner would make jokes with me because I stayed in Mykonos for 4 days and had breakfast here every morning, as there isn’t much else open around 10am. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wood fire pizza, it was better than the fancy restaurants in old port. I definitely didn’t expect that from a snack bar!
