Makava Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

I really can't say enough about Makava suites. Let me start off by saying the family that owns this place is amazing, they are nothing short of spectacular people. They are extremely caring, hospitable, and attentive to all their guests. The housekeeper is an awesome lady, she does amazing work and always makes sure you have fresh new towels. Extremely friendly!

2nd: The rooms are just perfect! They are spacious, clean and extremely cozy. The bed is very comfortable, rooms have more than accommodating closet space for clothes, kitchen appliances with a small refrigerator, and the bathroom is gorgeous with an amazing shower. They offer Wi-Fi in the room and a smart TV. The lighting options are great with the ability to turn on and off any light you want, and there's a balcony!

3rd: The location is perfect! You can take a short 5-8 minute walk to town. It close enough to walk and far enough to have peace and quite from all the commotion. They also offer guest parking which is amazing. The location is 10-25 min from most beaches depending where you want to go.

During a recent stay at Makava Suites in Naxos, there were a few notable observations. The room, while acceptable, was quite small, especially considering it was the most expensive option available. However, the location is convenient, being close to the Chora, which made exploring the area easy.

The jacuzzi, assigned to each room, was a feature of interest. It is worth noting that the jacuzzis are not situated in private areas, which might be a consideration for some guests. Initially, the jacuzzi was not clean, but this issue was promptly addressed by the staff the following day.

The receptionist, a young girl with dark brunette hair, appeared to be around 18 years old and seemed to lack experience in hospitality. During check-in, there was some confusion regarding the reservation, which was not the most welcoming start to the stay.

On a positive note, the cleaning lady was excellent and very thorough in her work, ensuring that the room was spotless throughout the stay.

However, it should be mentioned that the price was quite high for the overall experience and amenities provided.

I had a really wonderful stay at MaKava Suites. This hotel is run by a mom and her three daughters and all four of them were very kind and accommodating. They offered great recommendations and took the time to show me a map of Naxos and point out highlights of the island. The hotel is set off a quiet street but in a very convenient location. It’s close to the chora center (~10 min walk) and also a 10 min walk to the agios georgios beach. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and beautiful. Guests have the option of choosing between a sauna, a balcony, and a hot tub when booking their rooms. Makava Suites provides thoughtful amenities as well, including robes, slippers, beach towels, coffee. My room also had a small terrace with a drying rack for my swimsuit after each day and a stove.
